Dyson is about better ideas and better technologies, as the EMEA eCom Development Manager you will play a leading role in driving our people and commercial agenda in the region to reach our ambition.

About the role

At Dyson our Owner is central to everything we do, every role in Dyson centres on making sure that owners are getting fantastic experience, every day.

As an EMEA region we are growing quickly across an array of complex and different markets. From GB, our home markets where we’ve been to 30 years to new markets we’ll open up this year and in the future. Central to our success in these markets will be our ability to develop our people and commercial plans. As EMEA eCom Development manager you will drive the eCom training plan for the region, working closely with markets and group and external agency partners to institutionalize and train others on best practice. This will take form of specific academy weeks throughout the year which rests on an always on platform. Additionally, you will partner with and from time to time lead our commercial test and learns with the aim of finding scalable, profitable models to help us reach new owners and better talk to our existing owners. Eg Live shopping and social commerce


Dyson is a fast paced and agile company with a lot of change. The below is an example of your main accountabilities but is not a complete list.

  • Commercial lead for regional eCom EMEA projects: Partner with supply chain, finance, marketing, creative and transformation teams on projects which develop our eCom proposition, be the voice of the markets on these teams to ensure best possible outcome.

  • Partner with markets on scale-able test and learns, either directly or as part of team. You’ll look for ways to drive and scale commercial best practice, working on roadmaps, projects and plans in partnership with our regional centre of excellence. A key play within this part of the role is defining what commercial strategy for Live Shopping and social commerce.

  • Leading EMEA eCom training agenda, finding, coordinating and ensuring the delivery of training to help build our eCom capability as a region.

  • Build and run eCom training academy, objectives being to 1) accelerate learning curve of people moving into eCom and 2) deepen the knowledge of those already in eCom.

  • Build always on self-serve training platform for people to access all year around ensuring maximum usage of training content

  • Manage a team: In the future this position will have 1-2 direct reports to support driving the above areas.

  • eCom trading: As a commercial eCom team we are accountable for regional performance, this will require you and the whole team to be flexible to flow to priorities that help us hit our targets.

About You

  • Owner first Mind-set: You’ll think first and foremost what these plans and actions do for our owner experience.

  • Comfortable with complexity and change: Comfortable adapting quickly and often to changes.

  • Team leader: Experience managing a direct report, nurturing talent and managing performance as needed.

  • Ability to navigate matrix stricture: You’ll be comfortable working with diverse teams across the organisation and navigating a matrixed organisation.

  • 4 years + experience working in eCom experience across eCom sales, content and platform is preferable.

  • Organised and structured: Previous experience managing multiple projects.

  • Prior experience in building capability via formalised training plans is highly desirable.

  • Strong communicator: Able to clearly communicate technical issues in a simple laymen’s terminology.

  • Keen eye for detail particularly within a digital setting

  • Has a bias for action and ability get things done with a positive attitude.

  • Fluent in English and another EMEA language.
