The Office of the CTO plays an integral role in managing the CTO organisation and supporting the Chief Technology Officer in critical business decision-making as well as driving strategic and programme-level initiatives. The team are a group of structured problem-solvers who are passionate about making a positive impact on the business. They play a leading role in delivering on wide-ranging strategic and transformational objectives within engineering across SEA.
About the role
We are a small but growing team, with a very flat structure and expectation to make a significant and lasting impact on the business. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Transformation Programme Manager to join our team to deliver transformation projects across Team CTO. You will be based in our iconic headquarters at St. James Power Station.
Your role will involve implementing cross-functional transformation programs to achieve Team CTO's strategic objectives & manage enterprise risks, change and stakeholder management to influence existing ways of working, and collaborating across cross-functional teams. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a background/ demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management, product development, project management, systems engineering, and the ability to drive change and innovation.
The role will include:
Taking on the Risk Champion function within Team CTO to lead and drive transformation projects that seek to manage/ mitigate Enterprise Risks, including liaising with the Group Risk team and aligning with the Dyson Risk Management programme. Delivering cross-functional transformation projects within Team CTO to drive changes to people practices, engineering capabilities, processes and governance. Leading change initiatives, communicating effectively, and managing stakeholders' sentiments throughout the transformation journey to scale adoption of new ways of working. Understanding how each transformation project fit within the wider Team CTO strategic objectives, ensuring enduring alignment and cohesion of the projects among projects' contributors and Team CTO transformation network. Maintaining a clear narrative on progress, risks and opportunities of the transformation implementation projects, supporting the team in running regular cadence across Team CTO, including but not limited to CTO All Hands meetings, functional and category level risks, issues and quality forums etc.
This role will provide you with exposure to senior leaders in the business, and opportunities to be at the core of change that will shape Dyson of the future.
The role of Programme Manager is part of the Dyson Strategy & Programme job family. We will expect you to:
Evidence professional experience in product or engineering led organisations, engineering degree preferred (non-IT, e.g. mechanical, aerospace, electronics),
Demonstrate good understanding of product development, engineering, and engineering organisations,
Demonstrate good understanding of business risk through an engineering lens; ability to think strategically and translate organizational goals into actionable plans
Demonstrate problem identification and resolution, and an analytical and structured way of working
Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training
Have deep understanding of project management with proficiency in methodologies, tools, and techniques and proven track record of delivering capability projects. APM/PMI qualification preferred
Demonstrate ability to build and sustain in a complex and changeable stakeholder environment, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills; leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Be effective in building your own networks to learn about Dyson product development, various stakeholder groups in the business and the interdependencies between different business units, ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Be a self-starter and self-learner
