About The Role

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

To support the Test Department in various tasks, which shall include in particular, but not by way of limitation, on the following:

  • Monitor, lead and manage Test Operators of the assigned Test Group within the Test Team. This includes overseeing day-to-day tasking and management of Test Operators with the help of Leaders.

  • Manage, operate and upkeep the equipment and facility assigned by the Test Section Lead. This includes maintenance of test area, test rigs and lab equipment including calibration schedule and records, as well as general upkeep to ensure a safe and clean work place in accordance to the Safety & Health Policy.

  • Own and manage Tests in PLM system for assigned mechanical tests (Validation, Development and Investigative). Responsible for updating key items to PLM, e.g. creating Test, linking Requirement & TM, creating Test Reports, contributing to Problem Reports.   Ensure all test activities are carried out in a timely manner in accordance to test plan. Responsible to produce periodical updates consisting of test progress and test results.

  • Ensure all the test activities are carried out strictly according to the appropriate test standards, which cover international standards (IEC, ASTM, etc.) and internal standards (DTM: Dyson Test Method).

  • Support Test Engineer in revision or development of test methods (DTM) when new test method is necessary. Assist in modification or development of new test rigs in parallel with development of test methods.

  • To carry out other related tasks may be given in addition to the above main tasks

About You

  • Candidate must possess a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) or equivalent.

  • Candidates with more than 3 year(s) of working experience with mechanical/electrical/chemical background, involving testing or R&D environment are preferred. Candidates without or with lesser experience are still encouraged to apply.

  • Reasonably fluent in spoken and written English and strong in communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate at all level of employees and dealing with difficult people.

  • Good management & planning skill. Must be capable of working under pressure, commit to tight deadlines and able to think and react promptly.

  • Able to work in shift rotation.
