Based in our Amsterdam or Paris office you’ll take responsibility for a diverse and challenging range of marketing, digital and retail missions over two years. This is not like any other programme; it will flex with the business need, keeping you challenged and accelerating your commercial career.

From fighting fierce competition to finding new ways to sell the Dyson story to consumers, our European hubs certainly have a challenging task on their hands.

Our Marketing, Retail and Sales teams launch our latest machines to the world, bringing our problem-solving technology to life in engaging ways. Thankfully, we don’t need marketing gimmicks or clichés because we have fact and engineering superiority on our side. Our in-house agency ensures consistency in brand, advertising, packaging, retail, events and digital across our global markets. As a recent graduate, you’ll be right in the mix, working with specialists in all areas and just like our engineers, you’ll be challenging convention to turn great ideas into reality; innovating across our markets.

About the role

In your role you’ll be assigned to specific projects which we call ‘missions’. Defined by business needs as they arise, no two ‘missions’ will be the same, but they will all be dynamic, broad and demanding. It is this flexible approach that enables us to grow our business and accelerate the development of our most talented people.

In your first year you will spend time working in E-Commerce. The E-Commerce teams are the engineers of our digital success. They drive improvements on our digital customer journey and contribute to our ambitious growth of Dyson’s online presence to unlock the commercial potential of Dyson’s direct to consumer website.

Your second year will see you gaining breadth in different commercial teams and whilst we cannot prescribe here exactly what you will be doing, you could expect to work in these teams:


  • Lead strong projects and opportunities that will ensure both profitability and the best customer experience.

  • Build solid business cases and submission packs to validate with execs

  • Define the conditions necessary for the success of the future project (financial and legal conditions, state of the future location etc.)

  • Assess risks and opportunities at all levels of the project.

  • Coordinate the store project management including all workstreams (construction, logistics, IT, marketing, HR etc.)

  • Lead  project coms with all key stakeholders ensure the respect of the timeline, cost and quality and ensuring powerful marketing and communication plans

  • Optimize Operation Processes to support local teams the store when open (Forecast, Reporting,etc.)

Branding and Marketing

Support Marketing Managers with launching our new technology and building our brand and category understanding. You will also be involved in the evaluation of projects and campaigns, organising communication audits at first execution stage and post launch issuing details of ways to align with campaign kit and improve integration.

Retail Activation and Sales

Drive our retail presence in all channels, ensure premium and brand compliant presentation and communication through retail fixtures. Develop activation methods how to engage best with our consumers to make them experience and understand our products.

Digital Analytics

One of the fastest growing commercial functions at the very heart of understanding how well social marketing performs and its contribution to the business. Working cross functionally, use cutting edge analytical tools to provide reporting and insights to shape future strategy.

Each ‘mission’ will have a Sponsor, clear objectives for delivery in a given time period – becoming a product expert, gaining in depth understanding of Dyson technology and bring this to life for consumers as required. 

You will remain in country for the duration of the programme but as a global business we look for individuals who would be interested in a global career longer term.

About you

Our Direct Retail Graduates are ambitious, resilient, and tenacious. Whether you’re launching our latest technology on or opening our newest Retail stores around the globe, you’ll be at the forefront of our business. 

  • You’ll need to have or be studying towards a degree discipline in any business subject area.

  •  It’s not just about education - we really need to see what you’ve achieved beyond academics. Motivation and attitude are important to us and you will need to be able to demonstrate your commercial acumen and understanding of marketing.

  • To succeed on this programme, you’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, be able to think on your feet, deliver exceptional results; be ready to go wherever you are needed, do whatever needs to be done; most of the time with little notice.

  • Whether it’s through internships, work experience, or extra-curricular activities, you’ll be expected to evidence working in high performing teams but stand out as an impressive individual contributor.

  • Show us when you’ve overcome the impossible and delivered exceptional results; put yourself out there rather than wait for things to happen. You must be comfortable taking the lead, making a stand, driving initiatives, and influencing others along the way.

  • A bonus would be if you’re fluent in another language

  • Above all, we’ll need to see your passion for Dyson and our Technology.

  • Project Management experience 

  • Process driven thinker with an ability to flex, be reactive and think on the spot

  • Business acumen and stakeholder management

  • Familiarity with project management software tools & methodologies 

  • Customer Experience focus

  • Fluent in English and French written & spoken
