Field and Retail Sales Manager - North

About the role

The Field and Retail Sales Manager - North role is responsible for leading Regional Managers and Regional Development Managers (RDMs) across NSW, ACT and QLD.

The role drives in store consumer sales volume, grow sales revenue, gross margin and market share for Dyson and its retail partners across all categories sales. In addition, it ensures the strategic and tactical direction of in store sales plans are adhered to and provides consumers with an experience that aligns with Dyson’s vision.

You will be expected to achieve team performance through effective people leadership, leading a team of up to 10 direct reports and 70 indirect team members (demonstrators).

You will coach and develop your team, be in regular communication with the field, and drive seamless integration between the RDM's and instore teams.

You will contribute to and implement strategic plans that optimise retail opportunities and revenue growth, manage budgets, review customer account plans and overall sales vs targets, and actively manage and review in store coverage model to achieve your national sales goals. This will include reviewing RDM call coverage and cycles and working with your Regional Managers to ensure appropriate coverage of demonstrators.

As well as this, you will carry out ongoing capability assessments to ensure your team are Experts in Dyson products and sales techniques, and will work closely with the National Product Training Manager to deliver best in class development programs.

About you

You are a highly strategic, experienced people leader with proven success in delivering sustained sales results, preferably in a retail operations environment.

You will have a high level of experience in customer negotiations and dealings and will demonstrate evidence of budget control and financial expertise. This role requires the ability to build strong working relationships, with the ability to influence, lead and coach.

This role will require you to take a highly analytical approach, therefore you will have strong excel and PowerPoint skills. Most of all, we are looking for someone energetic, engaging who has a positive approach and is a passionate people leader.

Due to the nature of this role, travel will be required where possible and you will be expected to work up to 2 Saturdays a month (time can be taken in lieu)
