About the role
The role of the Finance Administrator & Value Manager is to own and drive the creation of strong project delivery and finance processes, working across all functions and stakeholders within the business.
The role will take an active part in the governance of project finance and balanced judgement to determine business risk across our projects.
This role will work directly for the Head of Technology Management and help to drive the realisation of the vision of the Dyson to double through the implementation of robust delivery processes and effective project governance.
Project Delivery Process
Ownership and continuous development of the finance processes across the CITO.
Enable and coach value management in all aspects of CITO.
Management and roll-out of process maps, guides, and documentation.
Governance and checks across projects of process adherence.
Support the identification of process specific project/people training needs.
Support the identification of systems and tools to facilitate process requirements and adherence.
Finance and Value Management
Deliver independent Financial governance across project delivery, through the project delivery process, ensuring appropriate due diligence is conducted ahead of all milestones.
Contribution to the Financial governance framework for Project delivery.
Work with the Portfolio Management team to expand finance governance model to the full product lifecycle and programmes across the portfolio.
Lead forums focused on Financial improvements, Finance process improvement.
Project and Programme financial management experience in a complex and fast paced environment, providing governance across a projects, programmes, and portfolios.
A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of finance, change, risk, and schedule management processes.
A strong and robust understanding of a typical IT project lifecycle.
Experience in undertaking or managing business level finance reviews.
Experience of process mapping.
Excellent written, spoken, and presentational communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders quickly.
Comfortable engaging and influencing stakeholders of wide-ranging levels of an organisation.
Experience making quick decisions based on data and assessments of risk.
Confidence in problem solving, analysis and decision making with a solution orientated mindset.
Ability to process a large amount of information and to summarise clear concise messages for target audience.
A good understanding of Finance, Project Management and PMO competencies.
Strong organisational skills.
