About us

The specialist functions within Finance consist of around 70 subject-matter experts in Tax, Customs, Treasury, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Insurance, and Internal Audit, which help enable the global Dyson business to identify and manage risks to the achievement of the business’s objectives; and to operate in a compliant, controlled, cost-effective and resilient way.   

About the role

This role supports our specialist functions, reporting into the Director of Tax, and supporting the Director of Risk & Resilience, the Group Treasurer and the Internal Audit Director’s teams, providing efficient, professional and enthusiastic support. The key duties involve:

-          Handling and processing incoming queries via Admin mailboxes and post; and organising couriers

-          Document management (collating, getting documents signed, copying, scanning, binding, filing etc)

-          Processing, reactivating, and amending vendor onboarding

-          Generating Purchase Orders on SAP Ariba, ‘goods receipting’ and handling related queries

-          Generating specific Treasury and other ad-hoc payments

-          Organising travel/itineraries for team members, in accordance with travel policies

-          Meeting/event scheduling, facilitation, and administration

-          Project/programme co-ordination (reviewing, processing, and analysing certain information), including updating intranet sites

-          Assisting with on-boarding new starters

-          Supporting the Directors with other ad-hoc tasks such as calendar management, creating / amending presentations/reports and analysis; and providing cover for the wider Finance Admin team

-          Managing Finance’s 'Lending Library' of Dyson products

About you

-          Secretarial/PA/office administrator experience

-          Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, used to working with a variety of stakeholders with competing priorities

-          Enthusiasm and drive to understand Dyson’s operations

-          Operates with discretion when handling sensitive information and integrity

-          Ability to use own initiative and work proactively, think ahead and multi-task

-          Calm under pressure with good attention to detail

-          Good communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders

-          Good/advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite, Teams and Sharepoint

-          Experience with SAP/Ariba/Fiori for vendor & purchasing management (advantageous)
