About the roleAcross the graduate programme Dyson will train you in everything finance. You will rotate through placements in different areas of finance and across the business – supporting our markets, engineers, and commercial strategies. Starting in Cologne, placements could be across continental Europe as well as the UK depending on business need. You’ll need to be flexible to undertake whatever comes your way.
In all of the placements, you’ll need to demonstrate quick learning and adaptability. You can expect big responsibility and plenty of autonomy. It’s not easy but over the course of the graduate programme you’ll be supported with a development framework, enabling professional growth, training and opportunities to hone your skills and evolve your knowledge.
At the end of the programme you will have gained a wide range of experience across our finance functions and be ready to continue to drive your career at Dyson forwards at pace; taking ownership and responsibility to forge the direction of your Dyson career – you could move to any one of our offices across the globe where opportunities are open.
We are looking for applications from a finance or accounting related degree background. You’ll need to have (or be expecting) a 2.1 or European equivalent award. But it is not just about education, we really need to see what you’ve achieved.
Whether it’s through internships, work experience or extra-curricular activities, you’ll be expected to evidence working in high performing teams but stand out as an impressive individual contributor. You’ll also need to demonstrate a commitment to a career in finance.
To succeed on this programme you’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, be able to think on your feet and deliver exceptional results. You should be able to bring the best out of a team that are interested in numbers, think commercially and communicate insight that influences how Dyson does business whilst also balancing the need for appropriate control and continuous process improvement.
Show us when you’ve overcome the impossible and delivered exceptional results; put yourself out there rather than wait for things to happen. You must be comfortable taking the lead, making a stand, driving initiatives and influencing others along the way.
