Our Finance team manages and balances complex budgets across our global business. Multiple regions, multiple categories and covering all aspects of the finance cycle. The team provides control and stability, which enables our family-owned business to be agile, adapt to constant change and focus on growth.

The Finance Manager – Supply Chain Strategy partners with the Global Supply Chain Function to support analysis and implementation of new programmes, initiatives and implementations.

This includes overseeing the development of financial business cases, working with cross function partners to implement new systems & ways of working, and partnering with markets to monitor and steer locally managed projects.

From time to time, the incumbent will also work on ad hoc analysis and projects to provided insightful analysis for decision-making by the senior management function in Dyson

The role has good exposure to the Dyson Global Supply Chain Functions and allows the incumbent a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of Dyson Operations Business.

About the Role

Reporting into the Finance Director – Supply Chain, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop reporting and cadence on global and regional projects. Be the lead finance project member across multiple key global programmes.

  • Develop and drive Dyson’s supply chain end-to-end cost optimisation

  • Be the voice of finance in project review meets and ensure accurate financial decision making

  • Benchmark analysis vs. external competitors to identify opportunity areas

  • Manage the control environment for inventory and develop best practices

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis to support new and existing initiatives

  • Trusted business partner to Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams. Influence a wide variety of cross functional and senior stakeholders.

  • Review of key processes to drive process improvements

About You

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent post graduate qualification.

  • At least 7 to 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in project management, supply chain and/or strategy experience

  • Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills

  • Good planning and organisation skills

  • Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways

  • Naturally Inquisitive - comfortable and willing to interrogate existing process and systems

  • Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo

  • Excellent personal and business presentation skills, in particular the presentation of financial information to non-finance managers and directors

  • Assertive and able to influence upwards and across functions

  • Good spoken & written English

  • Has strong sense of operational discipline and ability to meet deadlines
