About the Role

As a member of the Commercial Finance team, the FP&A Manager is tasked to identify and implement strategies and guardrails to help the organization deliver its strategic goals. The manager will hold an end-to-end understanding of business performance at month end to help craft insightful commentary for monthly reporting to senior leadership across ANZ and for APAC regional decision makers.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-

  • Closely support the Marking Director to provide insightful financial analysis in support of marketing decisions

  • Help plan marketing spend based on identified KPIs and enforce KPI focus on all areas of the business

  • Work with commercial sales teams (via their Finance Business Partners) to ensure alignment and commitment to strategic KPIs

  • Help to identify and plan strategic investment decisions made across the business and carry out post activity analysis and reporting

  • Lead the cyclical budgeting process, working closely with Marketing leads to develop accurate and ambitious financial plans

  • Monitor performance against forecasts, KPIs and identify key variances, trends, and risks

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales and financial results, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable strategies to optimise financial performance

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reports to senior management, providing insights into key financial metrics and performance drivers

  • Gather insights from across the business to provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives including new product launches, pricing strategies and key sales campaigns

  • Evaluate spend proposals and investment opportunities by conducting ROI analysis and presenting recommendations to senior leadership

  • Build effective finance business partnering with the Marketing Director/‘Heads of’ to influence local market investment decisions and regional/group decision makers

  • Collaborate with wider senior leadership to develop long-term financial plans and business strategies aligned with company goals including but not limited to 3 to 5 year forecasts

  • Implement Zero Based Budgeting approach to marketing investment planning, and other best practices in financial modelling, data analytics, reporting to streamline workflows and improve decision-making capabilities

About You

To be successful in this role you will have strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and advanced Excel skills. You will bring your excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and have a flexible approach with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Previous skills & experience

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related field

  • Solid experience in financial planning and analysis roles, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities

  • Past business partnering experience to marketing/commercial teams will be at an advantage

  • Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally and influencing decision-making at all levels of the organisation

  • Proven success in challenging the ‘status quo’ and delivering impactful change that left a long term legacy to the workplace

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.

  • High levels of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
