Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor - 15hrs a week + Benefits

The Hangar is an integral part of the Dyson campus. Due to continued growth and more complexities of classes and services we offer, we now require a part-time Fitness Advisor working on a 15hr week to join the established team based in our onsite fitness facility here in Malmesbury.
There will also be further opportunity to run personal training sessions at the facility, rent free.
This role is a minimum of 15 hours per week where duties will include group and individual inductions, gym program sessions, studio classes, cleaning of the equipment and facility, ensuring health and safety of members and staff at all time.
You will need to be able work different shifts i.e. early starts and late finishes, flexibility to cover other sites, holiday cover (which will be considered as overtime).


This is what we need you to do: 
  • Opening and securely close the facility depending on shift.
  • Conduct gym inductions for, assist member’s with use of the equipment, program and deliver studio classes and assist sports events, tournaments and leagues.
  • Monitoring access to the facility to ensure all users are inducted, assisting any who are having difficulty with access / liaise with Hangar management and security with any issues.
  • Complete daily checks, monitoring of equipment and The Hangar building, cleaning equipment and reporting any damage or faults to The Hangar manager and removing any unsafe equipment from use.
  • Encouraging and promote utilisation of the facilities and all activities available to Dyson employees. 
  • Management and monitoring of the booking system
  • Responsibility for general health & safety and keeping the facility to a high standard of cleanliness. 
  • Assisting building services, cleaners and other departments with access to The Hangar
  • Working with The Hangar team to promote the sport, health and wellbeing program to dyson employees, and be part of the development of the offering across the company.


What we'd like to see from you - 
  • REPS level 3 qualifications or equivalent.
  • First Aid qualified.
  • Public liabilities insurance.
  • Group training instructor qualifications.
  • Lifeguard and/or swimming qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Computer literate.
  • Self-motivated and proactive. 
  • Enthusiastic, confident with excellent organisational, administration skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, a team player.
  • Able to work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to accept change  and work reactively.
  • Comfortable with autonomy.
  • Evidence of being a self-starter who is good at identifying problems and proactively remedying them, and who demonstrates professionalism, pride and integrity in all aspects of your work.
