Flagship Store Manager


Australia - Sydney George Street Demo Store

Dyson develop products which are deliberately different and better than the competition. Within Dyson ANZ, we are always motivated to innovate how our owners experience our products. We are expanding our presence in retail having opened our first Dyson Demo Store – Service Centre in Castle Hill in 2021 and will now take Dyson retail experience to the next level with our first Flagship store opening in 2022.

About The Role

We are looking for a talented individual to lead a team of Dyson Experts as the Store Manager of our very first Flagship Dyson Demo Store. You will build a team of story tellers, passionate and ambitious Dyson Experts who will deliver outstanding product experiences – fascinating customers through presentation and demonstration of our machines while also delivering world-class service and support for our current owners. Behind the scenes, the Store Manager will oversee operations including inventory and visual merchandising.

Our Flagship will be opening early next year in the Sydney CDB. It will be the pinnacle of retail experience, highly interactive and truly Dyson in its offering to our owners. Our store will provide an integral touch point as part of the customer journey for future Dyson owners, delivering exceptional experiences through education to achieve the best possible outcome each time they use a Dyson machine.


In this role you will be the Ambassador for Dyson, and be the go to for that store. The store will be in a landmark, high traffic location which is highly visible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and challenge a team to deliver an optimal owner experience – focusing on strengthening experience, education and cultivating a community of Dyson owners

  • Continually review results, establish clear measures, share insights and revise as needed to drive store performance

  • Lead by example and support your team to deliver an environment that heroes our machines, delivering best in class demonstrations and experiences

  • Deliver a sustainable retail platform that is efficient, ever evolving and that exceeds our customer’s expectations, whilst balancing this with a safe, compliant and cost controlled culture

  • Taking personal responsibility for achieving individual and store-based KPIs, including daily, weekly and monthly sales, customer service and store profitability targets

  • Launch new products and services

  • Continuously build product knowledge and keep updated of any product developments, while supporting the store team to do the same

About you:

  • A collaborative style with a passion to deliver a 5 star customer experience while driving commercial results

  • Track record for creating innovative solutions that solve problems and/or challenge convention

  • Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team in a premium retail environment. You have an ability and passion to inspire and challenge

  • Proven experience in successfully running the day to day operations of a store - managing work schedules, stock management, compliance, health and safety, security and all day to day requirements of running a store

  • Uses a combination of data, insights and logic in decision making and proven ability to think long term. Has an ability to shape long term plans into short term tactical steps

  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills with excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Passionate about delivering brand and product experiences

  • Ability to work flexibly to the business needs
