About the role

The Global Associate Inventory Manager will drive the data analytics, governance and process improvements of the global inventory planning. Supported by the global planning system, he/she will focus on Safety and Strategic Stock settings, Inventory optimisation, Network (re)designs, Processes and Procedures improvements and Management Reporting. This person supports key business decisions regarding Inventory Management within the company and will have 2 direct reports.

The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills and proven capabilities and experience with advanced single and multi-echelon inventory optimisation in a MNC.

He/she is very familiar and has a wide experience with VMI, DRP, MTO/MTS, ROP/ROQ, omni-channel inventory optimisation, seasonal impact and last mile planning setup.

  • Responsible for the Safety Stock level setting in the global planning for all Dyson warehouses worldwide (both for finished goods and spares)

  • Development and introduction of advanced inventory models applicable for Dyson’s distribution network

  • Provide governance in maintaining and extending the distribution network in Dyson's planning tool

  • Partner with the Markets worldwide to provide expertise in the field of Inventory Management

  • Partner with Finance on Working Capital management and Cash Flow

  • Provide reports and insight for Dyson’s IBP process and ad hoc requests

About you

  • A proven track record with at least 5 years of relevant experience of governing and improving the Inventory and Distribution Network in an international organisation (either from a global or a regional level).

  • Ability to translate complex inventory concepts into clear and understandable terms.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience while responding constructively to new demands and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in managing direct reports.

  • Experience with SAP, SAP BW and/or Kinaxis.
