The Global IBP team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of demand and the related supply plan, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.
About the role
Within Dyson's Global Planning Department, the Global Planning Lead is accountable for the longer-term planning (demand and supply planning) up to 5 years for one of the product categories of Dyson. The Global Planning Lead manages a group of demand and supply planners to ensure a balanced longer-term plan (RCCP) and is closely aligned with the Category.
Ideally, the candidate should be an expert in longer-term master planning, have a track record of optimising production networks, have extensive experience managing demand, and be able to manage conflicting interests.
Accountable for the creation of the longer-term Demand and the Rough-Cut Production Plan (RCCP) for the Category ensuring a feasible plan from a capacity and long lead time component availability perspective.
Work closely with Procurement, Operations and Finance to ensure a balanced longer-term plan.
Leading and coaching demand management analysts and supply planning managers within the team.
Accountable for the hand over of the RCCP to the MPS.
Leading the Portfolio Review Meeting as part of the Integrated Business Planning process.
Planning and managing the launch of new products across all markets, based on the inputs of the Category and Commercial.
Execute tactical business decisions in close cooperation with the regions, Categories, IBP team and manufacturing organisation regarding supply allocation, inventory targets and order fulfilment.
Propose and lead the retirement of SKU’s and products without any obsoletes or customer service issues
Identify risks and opportunities for product portfolio plans as part of the IBP process.
Strong Academic record in supply chain management or equivalent.
Several years of experience with longer-term Master Planning and demand planning within an MNC
Proven track record in production network optimisation
Experience in leading a team
Strong drive to find creative solutions to new challenges
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
