About the role
As the Global Process Owner for Sales Order Processing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of sales order management across our organization's worldwide operations. You will be responsible for defining, optimizing, and overseeing the end-to-end sales order processing workflow, aligning it with business goals and ensuring seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization: Develop and maintain the global sales order processing workflow, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
Regional and market alignment: Collaborate with regional teams and individual markets to understand unique market requirements and preferences, while actively promoting the adoption of standardized global processes.
Policy and Procedure Development: Establish and enforce standardized policies, procedures, and best practices for sales order processing to ensure consistency across regions and markets.
Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to improve, implement and maintain order processing systems (SAP S4/HANA), ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer service, finance, and logistics teams to align sales order processes with overall business objectives.
Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs that consider regional nuances, ensuring that local teams understand and can effectively implement standardized processes.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of the sales order processing function.
Regional and market alignment: Collaborate with regional teams and individual markets to understand unique market requirements and preferences, while actively promoting the adoption of standardized global processes.
Continuous Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback mechanism with regional stakeholders to gather insights and suggestions for process improvement and incorporate these into the global process as appropriate.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain a library of standardized operating procedures that address regional variations, ensuring clarity and ease of adoption.
Benchmarking: Continuously benchmark the organization's sales order processing performance against industry standards and regional competitors, identifying areas where standardization can lead to a competitive advantage.
Change Adaptation: Understand cultural differences and adapt change management strategies accordingly, taking into account the unique challenges that may arise in different regions.
Regular Audits: Conduct regular audits of regional sales order processing practices to ensure adherence to global standards, offering guidance and corrective actions when necessary.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in sales order processing or a related field with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of SAP S4.
Excellent project management and change management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams and regions.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive process improvements.
