About the role
We push the boundaries of what others have defined as possible. Our engineering approach starts with different thinking. Then we continuously refine our ideas – unwilling to compromise and motivated by finding a better way. Today we employ more than 5,800 people around the world in software engineering, mechanical engineering and science-related roles.
You will be working in either our Floor Care, Environment Care, or Hair Care Acoustics teams. We use advanced experimental, analytical, and simulation techniques to ensure the best noise and vibration performance of our products.
Some of your responsibilities could involve:
Using our advanced facilities (including 3 semi anechoic chambers) to test product performance and investigate noise sources.
Running state of the art acoustic simulations to investigate silencing techniques and aero-acoustic noise sources
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to implement your ideas onto our products.

About you
You will be contributing to the delivery of the next generation of Dyson technology, so you will need to be:
Working towards or have achieved a relevant Degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Physics and mathematics degrees are also welcome.
Able to evidence how you have applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities.
Happy to build your own networks to learn from the technical expertise around you.
Creative problem solver with the ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious future plans.
To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience post-graduation (PhD students are not eligible for our graduate programmes).
Above all, you will want to play a key part in bringing the next generation of Dyson technology to the world.
