About us

The Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of demand and the related supply plan, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.

About the role

Within Global Planning, the Graduate Demand Planning Analyst will be a part of the predictive analytics team. Supported by the planning systems, he/she will focus on the demand trends, range patterns, SKU patterns, and product cannibalisation to enhance predictability in the business.  This role supports key business decisions in relation to Demand Forecasting, New Product Launch Planning, Range Planning, and SKU mix optimisation.

The ideal candidate boasts excellent analytical skills, a passion for crunching data to support business strategies, as well as an affinity for converting business requirements into actionable forecasts.

Some of your responsibilities could include:

  • Responsible for sales forecasting based on statistical time series, AI/ML and econometric models within a specific Category

  • Creating specific demand models based on business insights research & sales analysis

  • Work with the Senior Demand Analyst on quantitative patterns of promotions, seasonality, events and integrated financial business forecasting

  • Integrate established and new demand signals and their quantitative effect on the overall sales forecast

  • Determine and implement new product developments into a holistic forecasting model using machine learning or AI.

About you

Working at the forefront of technology is tough so standards and expectations are high. On top of the technical know-how and passion to learn more, you’ll need to be inquisitive by nature, enthusiastic about technology, creative and tenacious in your approach to problem solving.
You’ll also need to be:

  • On track for 2nd upper class honours or above and be studying towards a Bachelor degree or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematic, or relevant experience in a quantitative field

  • Proficient in Programming skills such as SAS, SQL, Python, R etc.

  • Experience in dashboarding tools like Tableau or similar tools will be a plus.

  • Able to make analytical recommendations and provide business insights to the senior management

  • Strong knowledge in statistical modelling whereby experience in machine learning will be a plus.

  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable trends and market patterns.

  • Understanding and working knowledge of supply chain planning would be a plus.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
