About the Role
The role of the Graphic Designer is to lead and deliver against briefed objectives. You’ll be responsible for designing and developing all creative work under the direction of the Creative Lead in the Creative Hub. Projects must be delivered on time whilst maintaining Dyson standards. With this in mind, the role requires a deep understanding of the brand and brand guidelines set in place by the global team, and excellence in execution across all projects.
The role will be drive creative development and production for all touch points as a member of Creative Hub with focus on the support for owner experience, regularly contributing creative suggestions to enhance the journey. You will lead the delivery of the creatives including the adaptation or creation of assets for the digital/social media (which can include static and video, HTML 5 display assets, web banners, eDM, etc.) as well as the printed media (such as booklets/brochures, invitations, inserts, packaging, event collaterals, magazine ads, POS, etc.). To be successful in the role requires a high level of experience and understanding of graphic design fundamental such as typesetting and layout.
This role will require you to have the ability to lead and participate in stakeholder meetings, effectively communicate and present ideas, influence outcomes and defend design decisions when necessary.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Adapting global creative to local market
Hands on design and conceptualising through to final creative
Be comfortable creatively managing projects
Collaborate with key stakeholders and at times external vendors to complete projects
Effectively communicate creative concepts through live or static mockups
Ability to lead and participate in stakeholder meeting, effectively presenting and communicating ideas and design decisions
Deliver projects within agreed time frame
Work directly with Creative Lead
Identify emerging trends in design that Dyson should be considering and explore ideas for different media channels
Have an in-depth understanding of the brand guidelines and be able to translate this into the day-to-day design work, ensuring excellence in execution
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong performer under pressure and can manage multiple projects and stakeholders at any given time. You are highly creative, detail and solutions oriented and love working as part of a team. You will be able to concept and oversee development of digital display advertising assets and understand the prepress and print process.
Previous skills & experience:-
Advanced skills in Adobe suite
Advanced level of experience designing printed as well as digital assets
High Attention to detail
Basic understanding of UX principles
