Description

The Dyson property portfolio is growing. The expansion of the existing Campus at Malmesbury and the development of a larger one at Hullavington require the services of a team to maintain both the hard and soft landscaped areas at both locations.

We require an experienced horticulturalist to be responsible for the day to day supervision of the team and proactively participate in developing the landscaping vision for the site. This small but agile team will support and work in conjunction with a third party contractor to ensure all external areas are maintained to a high standard and meets our environmental aspirations. The successful applicant must have a keen interest and passion for horticulture.

This will be a very hands-on role and he/she must possess infectious enthusiasm, drive, enjoy challenges and bring a flexible approach to the role.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day supervision and guidance of the Grounds Maintenance Team.
  • Assist and advise on existing and any future landscaping projects.
  • Devise and implement a planned maintenance schedule for grounds maintenance across the Dyson campus.
  • Comply with and ensure the team carry out all work activities meeting relevant health and safety obligations.
  • Deliver a high quality standard of workmanship covering all aspects of grounds maintenance including, but not restricted to grass cutting, hedge cutting, weed control, pruning and litter collection etc.
  • Participate in any seasonal activities, i.e. gritting and snow clearance as required, including out of normal working hours and inclusion on a call out roster.

Skills

You'll have: 
  • Previous experience leading/managing a team.
  • Possession of RHS Level 2 or 3 or equivalent horticulture qualification.
  • Experience in the use of garden/grounds machinery.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
We'd also like to see: 
  • PA1 and PA6.
  • Possession of RHS Level 2 or 3 or equivalent horticulture qualification.
