The broad scope of responsibility requires solid understanding of both business and technology strategy and principled approach to broad digital transformation challenges/opportunities including strong leadership and people skills.

As the Head of Data Solutions Delivery, you will be responsible for the successful development and technical delivery of our Data Agenda for Dyson and play a pivotal part in accelerating the delivery of data technology transformation so that we are One Dyson, One data.

You will be managing a team of technical experts of visualization engineers, data engineers, data architects, developers, to drive delivery of value-driven data products and any resulting solutions/platforms.

You will have responsibility for leading the technical delivery team from a project and operational perspective. Ensuring they create and deliver profitable solutions for Dyson as well as the successful delivery of day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and oversee the Domain-level technical delivery of the data transformation workstreams including the technology agenda. This includes co-owning outcomes and oversight of key projects and its subsequent operation.
• Improving existing technologies while implementing newer, state-of-the-art technologies in forms of AI, ML, RPA etc.
• Responsible for shaping and leading the delivery of engineering culture, working closely with product management team to ensure commonality of approach.
• Together with product management, effectively drive the technical delivery of each stage from discovery through definition, design and delivery and ensure a quality ongoing maintenance and support service.
• Ensure team’s adherence to high quality of coding and engineering practices.
• Support the financial aspects of the portfolio ensuring financial and project management processes are sound.
• Regularly assess team resources against workloads, taking steps to ensure that the right resources are in place to delivery on all deadlines with discipline and dedication.
•  Actively measure business value within the product scope to support justification on current and future investment
• Lead the technical expertise, required technology, and ensuring technical concepts are feasible in the first step, to translate business needs into product ideas and progressing them through business case development, investment approval and product delivery.
• Facilitate business process re-engineering for operational effectiveness and efficiency

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role delivering sophisticated, value-driven end data products in a MNC setting. This is a visible role to ensure we have a team of strong technical experts and ability to listen, take feedback, and drive impact.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or any related disciplines.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in product planning and product design in data analytics, data products or business intelligence
• Familiar with process improvement practices and business process management
• Hands on experience with advanced SQL or ETL tools for data transformation, modelling, and analysis
• Experience in developing business cases and managing investment budgets with ability to drive new value proposition and influence business to embrace new innovations
• Proven track record securing investments from senior executives through product pitching
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and engage at C-levels
• Ability to think strategically but more importantly, to be able to dive deep into details and drive execution
• Demonstrated leadership working in cross-functional technical teams (direct/virtual)
• Strong technical and business acumen to draw insights and make product trade-off
• Experience working with enterprise systems is a plus
