Central & Emerging Europe is growing fast for Dyson. After accelerating the region in 2021, much more lies ahead, with E-commerce playing a major role.

About the role

As Head of eCommerce for CEE you will lead the eCom strategy across a portfolio of 16 markets including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Greece and Israel. You will define the direction and deliver the performance of our Dyson.com and digital retailer websites, working alongside a network of e-commerce, marketing and sales colleagues based at Dyson and partner organisations.

Set the vision, secure what’s needed to deliver it

  • Understand the long-term strategy of the Central & Emerging Europe business, define and drive a 5-year direct strategy.

  • Be a visible and inspiring figurehead, leading the charge to bring the direct strategy to life and build momentum behind it

  • Influence and lead participation and collaboration across teams: IT, Sales, Marketing, Owner Experience, Logistics and Finance, to ensure systems and operations are equipped to deliver the Dyson.com ambition

  • Set a clear direction helping the team members to understand the roles they play in the wider strategy

  • Provide expert advice and guidance in the activation of the strategy through the different functions

First class execution of Dyson Direct Activities through its existing channel base and teams

  • Develop dyson.com: strive for best-in-class service (delivery, UX, content, reviews), manage business planning (product ranges, volumes, turnover) and plan monthly activation calendar

  • Acquisition: work with digital media manager and agency to ensure delivery of traffic and conversion 

  • Deliver CRM plan to better know our consumers and cross sell our products. Grow database and enrich content plan

  • Reporting & analysis: drive monthly reporting and assessment of action plan

  • Execute and support transformation projects across the region

Operations

  • Own key e-commerce variables & forecasting e.g. visitors, average order value, conversion rate

  • Drive execution of trading plan across the teams and our platforms, ensure smooth execution, monitor and report results

  • Own daily trading of Dyson websites

  • Ensure close collaboration with our commercial teams on media campaigns

Test, learn and share best practice globally

  • Build on current direct & digital activity across Dyson and build a network via which to share best practice

  • Explore new ideas; borrowing inspiration from other countries and industries

  • Establish the benchmark for global best practice in direct & digital for Dyson

People

  • Review resource and capability requirements in direct & digital, and cross functional teams

  • Lead continuous review and development of capabilities required to deliver the long-term growth plan

  • Mentor team members to deliver our future talent pipeline
     

About you

  • Significant experience in e-commerce and or commercial roles, ideally in premium branded products or in e-retail.

  • Proven team leader and people manager, experience managing and leading complex teams, nurturing talent and managing performance as needed.

  • Experience of sitting on a senior leadership team, understanding the bigger picture of an organization and being able to manage your team within this.

  • Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change: Ability to navigate and influence in matrix structure and react quickly to make changes based on latest market trends and dynamics. You’ll be comfortable working with diverse teams across the organisation and navigating a matrixed organisation.

  • Owner first Mind-set: You’ll understand and think first and foremost about what experience our plans and actions deliver for our owners, at every stage of their journey.

  • Strategic Thinker: proven ability to set and implement e-commerce strategy, leading a team as you do so in balancing long-term vision with short term deliverables.

  • Strong communicator: Able to clearly communicate technical issues in a simple way.

  • Keen eye for details particularly within a digital setting

  • Has a bias for action and to get things done with a positive attitude, calm under pressure.
