About the role
This role is based in Zurich, Switzerland and will be hired for January 2022.
Set the market vision for E-Commerce sales and experiences through both existing and new channels.
Be a visible and inspiring figurehead, hungry to lead the change to bring E-commerce customer opportunities to life; build and maintain the interest, confidence and momentum that rapidly boosts the range and effectiveness of e-commerce channels.
Define the long-term strategy to build a sustainable e-commerce business, based on local ecommerce market dynamics and Dyson Group principles, for both Direct and Indirect online channels.
Create clear strategic plans that take full advantage of e-commerce market opportunities while increasing overall market profitability and protecting the Dyson brand
Develop and drive performance of E-Commerce channels – Direct-to-consumer channels (Dyson.ch webshop, marketplaces) and Indirect channels (pureplayers)
Take accountability for the P&L for E-commerce – Direct and Indirect e-commerce channels
Own, drive and track the relevant targets, including overall performance and planned sales volumes, revenue, GM and profit.
Drive operational excellence in site developments, order fulfillment and change request management in order to support sales growth in e-commerce business as well as ensuring business opportunities by developing new online business channels and platforms.
Initiate implementing and developing all e-commerce business related systems
Review security standard to provide safe and stable online commerce experiences to consumers as well as to meet the local market’s required standard
Lead system security and stability including backend infrastructure and frontend webpage through excellent e-commerce operations
Contribute to the strategy to significantly grow the market’s percentage of direct business in both the immediate and longer term, through driving the growth of the direct e-commerce channels
Implement global strategy for the development and management of direct business in Switzerland.
Drive first class execution of direct strategies and activities across the wide range of customer touchpoints e.g. Dyson website and e-commerce marketplace, develop new business opportunities
Develop dyson.ch: strive for best-in-class service (delivery, UX, content, reviews), manage business planning (product ranges, volumes, turnover) and plan monthly activation calendar.
Provide the strong and broad based, cross-functional leadership necessary to assure participation, collaboration and consistent delivery of the agreed direct e-commerce strategies by the range of ‘matrixed’ customer facing functions, e.g.,
- Logistics and Supply chain
- Customer Service
Build the team and capabilities needed to set E-commerce up for future success
Manage, develop and motivate e-commerce sales team
Lead in continuous review and development of capabilities required to continue the expansion of e-commerce and deliver the long-term growth.
Member of Dyson Switzerland executive leadership team, managing and leading the local Swiss Dyson business.
More than 5 years’ experience in E-Commerce or Sales, ideally in premium branded products/retail
Passion for E-Commerce and relevant market knowledge
Strong negotiation skills
Proactivity, ability to quickly adapt into a new organization and high energy level
Hands-on mentality, dynamic and collaborative personality, interest of working in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
