We’ve built a world-class, near real-time analytics environment with Direct Data Studios in multiple territories and a Looker-based BI-suite, the Direct Control Tower. Trading in 29 markets around the world, Direct-to-Consumer is at the heart of Dyson’s business. This is a multi-billion-pound business unit with significant double-digit growth. 

You’ll continue this growth trajectory building on these data foundations by supporting the data consolidation strategy and enabling pioneering, omni-channel, end-to-end personalisation.

About the role

Reporting into the Director of Commercial Analytics, you will lead our Ecommerce analytics that measure and optimise the performance of Dyson’s Direct-to-Consumer business.

You will champion the power of customer data in decision making and ensure it’s at the heart of commercial decision making across the organisation. You will develop and lead customer insight initiatives, scope and implement analytical solutions to commercial challenges and translate the results into clear, concise findings suitable for senior stakeholders.

This role manages a small team of analysts that is expected to grow to meet the needs of the business, along with:

  • Leading Direct-to-Consumer Analytics – working across Group, COE and Market functions  

  • Interacting with and influence decision-making of Executives, MDs, Directors, Heads of Department to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of the insights 

  • Becoming a primary stakeholder with our Direct-to-Consumer function to ensure intelligence is shared and performance is at the heart of our capability investment and trading decisions 

  • Collaborating on the delivery of a data consolidation strategy to break down the Commercial data siloes; thereby facilitating omni-directional, end-to-end personalisation and optimisation at scale 

  • Contributing to and advocating Dyson’s Direct-to-Consumer strategy the full suite of analytics tools available to you at Dyson 

  • Championing and driving the reputation of the capability and your team across Dyson

  • Ensuring statistically robust analysis is in place and providing recommendations to maximise the performance of our Direct-to-Consumer business  

  • Providing agile scenario support, reacting to emerging challenges and opportunities 

  • Ensuring that insights are always clear and actionable with ‘so what’ implications that will directly shape future activity 

  • Owning the core Direct Analytics systems including the Direct Data Studio and Direct Control Tower  

  • Accountable for quality and reliability of these systems including both data and standardised visualisations. Own the alignment of KPIs and standardisation of visualisations 

  • Being the go-to Direct-to-Consumer data and visualisation contact  

About you

  • 5 years plus experience in Ecommerce analytics with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving trading environment

  • Solution-oriented, focussed on improvement opportunities and confident to voice recommendations

  • Detailed experience with web analytics tools (such as Adobe Analytics, GA4)

  • In-depth experience of Google Big Query, SQL and Tableau or Looker

  • Strong knowledge in any of the following analytics disciplines an advantage: marketplaces (e.g. eBay, TMall, Rakuten), social shopping, live shopping, pricing, digital shelf, last-mile delivery, payments, physical retail

  • DMP / CMP experience a benefit
