About the role
We are hiring an experienced and talented Head of Program & transformation Management to lead and grow a distributed team of program managers. You’ll ensure the alignment of workflows, best practices and guide the team’s overall learning and development as they plan and manage the timely delivery of work across various cross-functional teams. In this pivotal role you will connect and collaborate with leaders across the organization.
In this role, you will partner with stakeholders within and outside Electronics hardware team across the business to increase the effectiveness of the electronics program delivering integrated electronics project schedule and hardware’s transformation projects at various complexity and scale.
Responsibilities:
Accountable to define, implement, and deliver standards that consistent and in accordance with best practices in project/program management align to Dyson product development directives and procedures
Raise project/program-management related skills across the organization
People-manage the program management & transformation function including:
Assign responsibilities, coach, train, motivate, and hold the team accountable for delivering your expected results
Design the organizational structure for your team and adapt as needed for the future
Efficient prioritization, planning, and delivery of teams’ work
Ensure your direct reports have the tools to manage their reports. You define expectations, guide career and skill growth, and hold people accountable
Ensure alignment of portfolios and programs to company strategy, establish effective governance of the delivery for portfolios and programs
Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders within and outside hardware team to identify, drive a continuous improvement environment and to support an ongoing program of change to improve hardware development process and achieve high standard of deliverables required by the business
Accountable for clear communication of each project status within the program committed by hardware team capturing accurately risk, issue and opportunities within the project/program
Building, communicating, and maintaining standards, best practices, processes, training, methodologies, tools, and techniques within project/program management area
About you
Skills:
Master or bachelor’s degree in either Electrical/Electronics, Business Engineering or equivalent with experience working in RDD environment, preferable MNC
At least 10 years of project or program management experience with proven track record of successfully leading and managing end to end delivery of several projects having variety of complexity & scale, ideally some of these in hardware development, Software development, and Agile environment, etc
5+ years of experience leading team. Must have experience in hiring, managing performance, and creating skill development plans for your direct reports.
You’ve got experience managing remote teams and managers, finding a way to create an inclusive team culture despite geographical distance.
Outstanding influential skills to drive transformation project at any scale or complexity
Strong leadership skills and superior expertise in project and portfolio management with great understanding of planning approach and using , using industry best tools such as Microsoft Project or other planning tools
Having PMP or any relevant project management certification would be a MUST
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills to influence and coordinate with team members and senior management
Excellent resource planning and task management skills
Strong data driven analytical skills, knowledge of Process improvement tools best practices with the ability to work independently, self-driven with a strong focus on results
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build productive working relationships across the business. You are confident but willing to learn, You give and receive constructive criticism well.
