Today, we are headquartered in Singapore at the historic St James Power Station and have a global footprint. Dyson opened its Krakow office in 2021 as the main hub for Dyson Business Services (DBS) – teams that provide process and service excellence to support Dyson’s growth ambitions. Since then, the Krakow office has become home to IT and Engineering teams as well and we currently have close to 200 people.
About the Role
The Head of HR for the Poland will lead the country’s people agenda and integrate all the different HR activities in alignment with the needs of the business. This role will be part of the Poland leadership team. This is the most senior HR role in the country and will report to the HR Director for Group Functions UK & Poland, who is based in UK.
In this role, you will partner with the site and function leaders to develop and execute the People strategies and planning activities that drive organizational and people effectiveness. You are expected to influence, challenge, and translate the business direction into local people plans. The role is challenging and faced paced, working across multiple disciplines and with multiple business partners. The incumbent is expected to be resilient and strong in execution and able to bring the business and HR teams with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an active member of the Poland leadership team. Represent the geography and its needs to the rest of the People function and business stakeholders
- Build strong and trusted relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Lead the Poland HR team by integrating all HR activities within the country, working with the global COEs to deliver their agenda locally
- Act as an advisor to local leaders on human resources issues, establish and maintain positive relations with employees, and foster a productive working environment
- Represent Dyson externally with government bodies and agencies
- Truly understand the nuances required in delivering the people agenda locally, along with the relevant employment laws and practices
- Understanding the business and its plans and creating an appropriate people strategy to deliver this
- Guide the line managers with the information and tools to engage and motivate the workforce. Help increase workplace productivity and employee loyalty by working with line managers to enhance the employer brand and corporate culture
- Lead the people side of changes within the organization. Partner with the business to implement new processes, products, and business strategies whilst minimizing negative outcomes
- Partner with HR CoEs: Provide compensation support, including salary planning, approval of salary actions, and promotions.
- A champion of the Dyson culture and values - connected to the "pulse" of our people across Poland, working closely with senior business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and engagement. Develop and champion a high-performance culture across the Poland organization
- Core HR service: Ensure legal compliance with labor law. Implement group and local HR policies and ensure proper follow-up. Responsible for the liaison with HR Operations and the point of case escalations
About You
- Demonstrate a significant experience in an HR Leadership role, either at a country or regional level
- Experience in Shared Services, Technology, IT and / or Engineering
- Experience in working with local government bodies and a sound knowledge of local employment law.
- Excellent understanding of business operations and functions and how human resource management practices contribute to core business functions
- Ability to systematically deal with organizational changes effectively
- Ability to work with geographically and culturally diverse teams and understand different ways of interpreting situations.
- Adept at managing a broad range of different priorities
- Collaborative yet assertive to influence outcomes and results
- Ability to transmit corporate values and exemplify integrity and trust for the rest of the organization's functions
