About the role
The Head of HR for the Philippines will lead the country’s people agenda and integrate all the different HR activities in alignment with the needs of the business. This role will be part of the Philippines leadership. This is the most senior HR role in the country and will report to the Global HR Director, who is based in Singapore.
In this role, you will partner with the site and function leaders to develop and execute the People strategies and planning activities that drive organizational and people effectiveness. You are expected to influence, challenge, and translate the business direction into strategic and tactical plans. The role is challenging and faced paced, working across multiple disciplines and with multiple business partners. The incumbent is expected to be resilient and strong in execution and able to bring the business and HR teams with you.
Duties and Responsibilities
Be an active member of the Philippines leadership team. Represent the Philippines and its needs to the rest of the Dyson group.
Build strong and trusted relationships with the senior stakeholders in the region.
Lead the Philippines' HR team by integrating all HR activities within the country, working with the global COEs to deliver their agenda locally.
Build a strong HR team for the Philippines, ensuring the team is capable, forward-thinking, well respected, and acts with integrity.
Act as an advisor to the management on human resources issues, establish and maintain positive relations with employees, and foster a productive working environment.
Represent Dyson externally with government bodies and agencies.
Truly understand the nuances required in delivering the people agenda locally, along with the relevant employment laws and practices.
Understanding the business and its plans and creating an appropriate people strategy to deliver this.
Play a role in recruiting the strongest leadership team. Continue the work to establish the Dyson employer brand in the Philippines for manufacturing and our growing engineering function to enable us to attract the best.
Guide the line managers with the information and tools to engage and motivate the workforce. Help increase workplace productivity and employee loyalty by working with line managers to enhance the employer brand and corporate culture.
Lead and support the change and transition of the business in the human capital area of the organization, creating the capacity for changes. Take care of employees' interests and guide them and their leaders during the organization's changes.
Lead the people side of changes within the organization. Partner with the business to implement new processes, products, and business strategies whilst minimizing negative outcomes.
Partner with HR CoEs: Provide compensation support, including salary planning, approval of salary actions, and promotions.
A champion of the Dyson culture and values - connected to the "pulse" of our people across the Philippines, working closely with senior business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and engagement. Develop and champion a high-performance culture across the Philippines' business.
Core HR service: Ensure legal compliance with labor law. Implement group and local HR policies and ensure proper follow-up. Responsible for the liaison with HR Operations and the point of case escalations.
Project Management: Co-lead a critical regional project with a clear lens on people impact.
About you
Degree and professionally qualified.
Experience in the area of High-Technology, R&D Engineering / Supply Chain - Manufacturing
Demonstrate a significant experience in an HR Leadership role, either at a country or regional level.
With experience working with local government bodies such as DOLE (Department of Labour and Employment) and PEZA Philippines. With a sound knowledge of local employment law.
Possesses an excellent understanding of business operations and functions and how human resource management practices contribute to core business functions.
Ability to systematically deal with organizational changes effectively.
Ability to work with geographically and culturally diverse teams and understand different ways of interpreting situations.
Adept at managing a broad range of different priorities.
Capacity to get others to achieve a given objective. Must know how to influence and communicate with all kinds of groups and cultures, and this way, walk the company along the right path.
Collaborative yet assertive to influence outcomes and results.
Ability to transmit corporate values and exemplify integrity and trust for the rest of the organization's functions.
Ability to manage and lead large-scale people transformation projects.
