About the role

Reporting into the Director of Commercial Analytics, you will be accountable for the media analytics that measure and optimise the performance of Dyson’s global media budget.

Working with colleagues in Group, Market & COEs, you’ll play a pivotal role in building working relationships with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the media-related data and visualisation requirements needed to meet the business’s ambitious growth targets. Responsibilities will span across attribution, report development & automation, insights, optimization, and forecasting. You will manage a small team of analysts that is expected to grow to meet the needs of the business.

You will lead the development of marketing analytics into a powerhouse resource for supporting the growth of Dyson – working across Group, COE and Market functions. Becoming a primary stakeholder with our media agency and their in-house analytics function you will ensure intelligence is shared and performance is at the heart of all our media investment decisions. You will also be:

  • Contributing to and advocating Dyson’s annual media strategy utilising Brand and Sales Analytics, Digital Attribution and Test & Learn combined with audience reach intelligence and competitive context

  • Ensuring statistically robust analysis is in place and providing recommendations to maximise the impact of our £600m+ annual media investment

  • Managing competitor media intelligence and understand implication of SOV on market share

  • Providing agile scenario support, reacting to emerging challenges and opportunities

  • Creating clear and actionable insights with ‘so what’ implications that will directly shape future campaigns

  • Owning core Media Analytics systems including the Media Reporting Suite

  • Accountable for quality and reliability of these systems including both data and standardised visualisations. Own the alignment of KPIs and standardisation of visualisations

  • Collaborating on the delivery of a data consolidation strategy to break down the Commercial data siloes; thereby facilitating omni-directional, end-to-end personalisation and optimisation at scale

  • The go-to contact for media data and visualisation 

  • Interacting with and influencing decision-making of Executives, MDs, Directors, Heads of Department and our media agency to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of the insights

  • Championing and driving the reputation of the capability and your team across Dyson

About you

Success in this role requires excellent analytical thinking and communication skills, an ability to summarize results and present recommendations to business partners, project management skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • 4-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, ideally in different areas, including user growth analytics

  • Strong knowledge of marketing data technologies (e.g. Ads Data Hub, Facebook attribution tool)

  • In-depth experience of Google Big Query, SQL and Tableau or Looker

  • Detailed experience with web analytics tools (such as Adobe or GA360), and registered owner data assets.

  • Solution oriented, focused on improvement opportunities and confident to voice recommendations

  • DMP / CMP experience a benefit
