About the role
Execution to deliver new products from ideation to SOP following Dyson's Product Creation Framework process.
Provide strong leadership in ensuring clear roles and responsibilities within Operations and with other functions to ramp up new products on time and on budget.
Provide strategic focus and leadership to ensure that manufacturing capabilities and capacities are available to support the build plan.
Ensure that operational commitments and goals for the category are met and are to plan (cost, quality, delivery).
Drive strong collaboration with categories to deliver clear long term product range plan, which is aligned with Operations network strategy, as well as long term capacity.
Review launch strategies and provide operational solutions to meet the launch requirements at lowest cost and lowest risk, to include NPI dates and volume ramp plans.
Give specific focus to areas of new technology to ensure that Dyson has the required level of knowledge and equipment's to support in production.
Deliver strategies to ensure that we provide manufacturing solutions that are both flexible and cost effective in meeting market demands.
Improve team structure as we continue to grow and build competency in the team with consistent processes and team members with strong engineering and operational experiences.
Lead the teams to ensure that best manufacturing practice is being employed and to challenge the norm to find different and better solutions.
Provide leadership to the operations team and influence the broader SEA team to enable smooth, planned activity throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Strategically, execute category growth to meet rapid Dyson growth needs.
Improve the processes used for operations to achieve the deliverables in the Product Creation Framework process.
Own the Capex to support new projects or capacity increases.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline with at least 15 years of engineering and operations leadership experience with 5 years being at a Senior Manager level.
Multi-national corporations work experiences with strong ability to work across culture.
Demonstrated track record in delivering large number of NPI/NPD's with breakthrough technologies each year.
Demonstrated track record in collaborating with RDD in a highly consumer centric and high technology innovation environment.
Strong ability to lead team and influence for results across organization.
Strong leadership with excellent analytical skills and a good team player.
Background in high end consumer goods or electronics manufacture preferable.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience within a high growth environment.
Ability to drive simplicity amongst complex problems.
Individual must be self-motivated and the ability to lead and motivate others not in direct line of responsibility.
Preferred industries include Automotive/Mobility, Consumer Technology or start-up tech firms as the processes will be similar to the requirements.
