About the role

Operations Performance

  • Drive and ensure the continuous operations of contract manufacturing.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with all internal and external stakeholders and lead discussion, problem solving efforts and process improvements to ensure that performance targets are met or exceeded.

  • Provide leadership over contract manufacturer relationships and maintain responsibility for contract oversight, including performing as the primary business contact for contract manufacturing relationships.

  • Participate to resolve risk and issues thru teamwork, positivity, and be the main coordinator for any internal/ external audit programs.

  • Participate in internal planning processes to ensure alignment on production requirements at assigned contract manufacturer and delivery of product.

Resource Management

  • Work closely with key manufacturing operations stakeholders to fully support the company and department goals on safety, yield, quality, utilization, productivity cycle time, and cost.

  • Review and manage the resources necessary and keep the cost at a reasonable level.

  • Identify, propose and manage improvement projects to address process deficiencies or improvement opportunities

  • Manage and drive initiatives as well as managing people within the group to accomplish team goals.

Communications and Representation

  • Develop and lead business reviews and meetings in efforts to achieve performance goals and contract compliance for to ensure service levels are met.

  • Develop useful metrics to measure and monitor performance of contract manufacturers

  • Represent the company for all internal and external activities for and by any interested parties and speak in behalf of the company as necessary.

  • Communicate and present to all levels of the organization.

People Development

  • Develop programs to attract, engage, and develop the employees while keeping their morale level high

Business Strategy and Mapping

  • Plan, review, and implement tactics, strategies, and initiatives aligned with the global company mission and vision.

About you

  • Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering or operations management.

  • Multi-national corporations work exposure with strong ability to work with regional and headquarter team for results.

  • Proficient in standard business application software, Tools & standard engineering method (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Minitab, JMP, DOE, MSA, SPC, PPAP, DMAIC, 8D, 5-why etc.).

  • Significant engineering knowledge and experience with high-volume operations in a box-built oriented, and dynamic environment.

  • Strong in industrial engineering methodologies, lean manufacturing, safety requirements, and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated track record of significant engineering or operations accomplishments, particularly in the areas of process, product, automation, and maintenance management as well as best practices.

  • Strong drive, execution and complex problem-solving abilities to meet engineering, safety, operational and business goals.

  • Excellent leadership, planning, good management skills, interpersonal communication, positivity, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders across organization.

  • Attention to detail plus strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Lead by example at organizational level. Inspire, motivate and guide others to adopt a point of view, make changes or take action. Cultivate an open, cooperative and collaborative learning culture for the organization.

  • Establish strategies for the allocation and deployment of resources efficiently and effectively.

  • Make decisions in a volatile and ambiguous setting using a structured process and limited sources of available information to achieve intended goals.

  • Build the organization’s capabilities to compete in a global environment. Manage tension between corporate requirements, global and cultural differences.

  • Influence, guide and handle others’ emotions to build instrumental relationships and manage conflicts and disagreements.

  • Possesses an excellent understanding of business operations and functions.

  • Experience within a technology, engineering or manufacturing environment within an entrepreneurial, innovative high growth environment. Experience of working within a global organization is critical.
