About the role
As Dyson is growing rapidly across all regions with more exciting products, Dyson’s global supply chain is scaling globally to enable the rapid growth. Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, the role will be responsible for all Procurement excellence, managing a high-performance team in Singapore.
Develop and implement global procurement competencies, processes and tools.
To deliver best-in-class systems capabilities and optimise the end-to-end procurement process.
Lead, coordinate and support procurement transversal activities and projects.
Drive, support and monitor global implementation of group template and procurement best practices, including negotiation training programs.
Develop a data-driven culture and ensure the availability of up-to-date, integrated and consistent procurement data.
Manage game theory-based negotiation projects.
Facilitate discussions with internal stakeholders to create supplier total cost comparisons as part of game theory-based negotiations.
Obtain stakeholder commitment to proceed with proposed negotiation strategies.
Conduct game theory-based supplier negotiations and track and report the results of supported negotiations.
Coach procurement staff in high stakes bilateral supplier negotiations.
Conduct research on state-of-the art negotiations strategies
Coordinate supplier development activities.
Define and support negotiation strategies based on supplier development efforts
Coordinate, advise on and facilitate the creation of negotiable cost models.
Coordination of cost reduction initiatives and develop the framework for supplier performance management.
Drive the global procurement strategy and coordinate the creation and implementation of commodity strategies.
Monitor sustainability initiatives amongst current supplier base.
Create and implement procurement policies.
Analyse and report procurement performance metrics.
Act as the primary interface for product costing and should cost analysis towards finance.
Lead budget planning for the procurement organisation.
About you
Degree in engineering/Masters in Business Administration
Proven track record in senior procurement roles with top management exposure.
Strong and immediately convincing communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
Excellent negotiation skills in monopolistic and competitive settings.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building and proven Cross-functional leadership skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent communication skills and experience in engaging with stakeholders of varied seniority.
