Head of Sales Dyson Benelux

Our goal is to consistently grow our sales whilst delivering world class owner experience and improving channel profitability with a sustainable and consistent business model. As the Head of Sales, you will be accountable for setting and delivering the long term vision of the sales organisation, managing the team across key accounts, retail excellence and retail activation whilst enabling the team to deliver their monthly, quarterly and annual targets.

Description of the Role

At Dyson our Owner is central to everything we do and your role will make sure that owners are getting fantastic experience, every day in every physical retail touchpoint. The role will also manage hybrid retailers who have both physical and digital platforms.

You will lead the strategic direction and delivery of the 3rd party retail business and Dyson direct stores. You are expected to work closely with a network of digital, marketing, supply, finance and sales colleagues based in Dyson’s global as well as local functions as you do this. You will be part of the local Benelux leadership team and be involved in shaping the commercial, cultural and operational vision for the future.


Dyson is a fast paced and agile company. The below is an example of your main accountabilities but is not a complete list.

  • Set and deliver the strategy and direction for Physical and hybrid retailers in Benelux and lead cross functional teams to bring this to life.
  • Team Management, build, nurture and enable a high performing team of x people. Manage poor performance as needed.
  • Lead team member in Benelux: Sit as part of leadership team in setting the broader business vision for Benelux, work with functional heads to bring this to life.
  • Owner Experience: Ensure owners are getting a fantastic experience in every physical and digital interaction with Dyson in both our owned stores and 3rd party retail stores/websites.
  • Terms and JBP negotiation: Design and negotiate brilliant joint business plans that build our business with key partners while meeting our profitability goals and always raising our standards or owner experience.
  • Business and P&L Management: Work with partners across the business to deliver annual, quarterly and weekly targets. Identifying opportunities and putting in place to plans to deliver against these.
  • Group/ Regional Project Ownership: As needed work with regional team on delivery of multi market projects and initiatives.

Skills & Competencies.

  • Owner first Mind-set: You will think first and foremost what these plans and actions do for our owners and how we can acquire and retain new and existing owners.
  • Proven team leader and people manager, experience managing and leading complex teams, nurturing talent and managing poor performance as needed.
  • Diverse Thinker: Can you challenge the status quo, spot gaps in the market, challenge our business model and be a digital visionary?
  • Comfortable with complexity and change: Ability to navigate and influence in matrix structure and react quickly to make changes based on latest market trends and dynamics. You’ll be comfortable working with diverse teams across the organisation and navigating a matrixed organisation.
  • Significant experience in commercial roles- Sales, Marketing and eCom experience, ideally in premium branded products or in e-retail is preferable
  • Strong communicator: Able to clearly communicate technical issues in a simple laymen’s terminology.
  • Keen eye for detail particularly within a digital setting
  • Has a bias for action and to get things done with a positive attitude.
  • Fluent in English with Dutch/French a benefit
