JOB DESCRIPTION – Head of Strategic Planning

Positions Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Strategic Planning. This is a new role that aims at aligning our long-term plans across the entire organization. The successful candidate must have several years of leadership experience in planning and project management. You will work closely with senior level stakeholders and be a member of the IBP & Digital Transformation leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • As our Head of Strategic Planning, you will be responsible for long-term integrated business planning across categories, manufacturing, markets and finance
  • You will be tasked with identifying gaps in our delivery, creating action plans to mitigate gaps, working with stakeholders to complement the global plan to deliver on our business strategy
  • You will need to fully immerse yourself with our GTM approach, ensuring that we protect our reputation and create the experiences we desire for our customers
  • We want you to effectively execute and deliver, ensuring that the team adds value to the overall business strategy, driving closer connection and interaction between our Group and Market teams
  • You will be tasked with providing monthly reporting requirements, to ensure standards in utilisation, resourcing, prioritisation and delivery, and you will be asked to own governance processes
  • You will gather feedback, insights, adaptations and requirements whilst keeping Group Strategy and Dyson DNA at the forefront of your thoughts
  • Turn our strategic vision into a programme of incremental business change projects
  • Define the scope, schedule and deliverables for each project
  • Lead the programme of projects
  • Create a system of meetings and reports to capture and communicate status
  • Manage and prioritise our programme to deliver maximum value
  • You will also need to create and govern key strategic non-IT projects to deliver long-term success against our strategy
  • It will be your task to build up the team that manages these projects and drives the overall long-term strategic alignment

Key skills:

  • Bachelor in economics or engineering
  • MBA is desired
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experienced in planning functions
  • Knowledge of Kinaxis RapidResponse is desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Experience in leading diverse and global teams
  • Ability and drive to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or other data analytics tools
