About the role

The HR Operations Manager will be responsible for delivering successful and fully integrated internal HR Operations services while working closely with the HRBPs and other HR sections to develop HR operational priorities. The role will require the individual to maintain a fine balance between strategy and operations and managing HR Operations team in Malaysia including TACO team for regional support.

He/She will drive service standards and delivery excellence across SEA. As a seasoned HR Operations professional, the HR Operations Manager will act as a coach/mentor to fellow team members across APAC. Provide professional Human Resources advice and support where appropriate.

Operational Functions

  • Ensure execution of onboarding process such as induction program, SEA New hire announcement, completion of probation review, and others.

  • Ensure execution of off-boarding process such as updating Dyson People, exit clearance and notification to the respective stakeholders.

  • Expat and foreign employees’ management- Ensure work permit applications and immigration matters are processed on a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate personnel files and records by keeping the HR Database up to date.

  • Work closely with Finance on payroll matters and ensure accurate information send to payroll team in timely manner. Review payroll and HR processes where necessary

  • Review any Internal/External audit findings/issues which related with HR Operations and ensure that they are address accordingly.

  • Insurance:

    • Manage and work closely with insurance brokers on the yearly renewal process for Group Insurance Plan.

    • Ensure insurance activity such as Group Hospital & Surgical; Group Personal Accident; Group Outpatient claims run smoothly and no operational issue or service interruptions.

    • Maintain accurate insurance information in HR Share Point

  • Support business initiatives through participating in multi-function project teams as required.  

  • Managing country team and overview work done in SEA HR Operations

HR System

  • Maintain accurate information in the HRIS system

Compliance, Policies & Procedures;

  • Work with in-house legal team to ensure legal compliance.

  • Act as liaison to governmental compliance agencies as required.

  • Responsible for reviewing procedures and policies, employee handbook and ensuring they are updated, in line with industries best practices and legally compliant.

  • To maintain a full and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and human resources best practice

  • Reviewing SEA HR Operations processes

Employee Relations

  • Establish and manage employee wellness programs.

  • Work closely with Communication Team on employee communication channels.

Training

  • Working closely with the Talent Development Team in assisting in the delivery of induction program etc.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Provide market best practices in terms of employee benefits and welfare.

  • Work closely with  the  Rewards team  in reviewing and  proposing  innovative benefit solutions in Malaysia

About You

  • Progressive experience in the HR generalist or operations

  • Has worked within a matrix environment and structure within a global organization

  • Experience of working in a technology organization – Manufacturing/ Operations would be desirable

  • Experience of working within an entrepreneurial organisation would be desirable

  • People managers and experience managing direct reports

  • Degree or equivalent - Recognized accredited HR related qualification.

  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written

  • Commercial awareness

  • Project management skills

  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills

  • Coaching skills and a passion for developing people

  • Strong business acumen

  • An understanding of change management both operationally and strategically

  • Strong knowledge in local labour law

  • Strong starter who drives things to logical conclusion
