Influencer and Communications Manager

Our Communications team creates and manages our narrative. Working closely with senior stakeholders, they deploy our stories strategically through press, online media and internal comms to build our reputation. Our high-profile reputation helps grow our business by indirectly selling our technology and positions Dyson as a great place to work. The team is responsible for a range of communications from public relations and business, products and launches to internal messaging and events.

About the role

What we’re looking for: A dynamic and well-organised Influencer Strategist, to develop and support the strategic direction and execution of Dyson’s approach to influencer marketing.

As a key support to the Group Product & Retail Communications team and Group Commercial team, the individual will take a lead role in bringing to life each product and non-product PR campaign through an influencer and social lens. Particular focus will be on campaigns that enable Dyson to sustain social and media coverage beyond new products as well as wider day-to-day market support.

This role can be based in London or Malmesbury - if in London 1-2 days a week will be based in Malmesbury where travel expenses would be covered.


  • Develop and implement Dyson’s Global Influencer strategy across all product categories – Environmental Care, Hair Care, Floorcare, Wearables & Retail
  • Provide strategic guidance to PR Leads and Influencer Managers in market to ensure aligned storytelling, messaging and creative.  
  • Develop and maintain global consistency influencer relationships end-to-end, including communication, contracts, sample or product allocation, and creative briefs creation
  • Amplifying influencer storytelling across each campaign, drive awareness, and align with Global PR, Communications and Marketing objectives.
  • Support proactive global budget management, contract negotiations, agent relationships, briefs and integration into media, PR, content and marketing programs
  • Oversee the development and on-time delivery of all assets for new product launches
  • Monitor and optimise budgets monthly to drive key priorities and ensure maximum ROI
  • Share insights and best practices for influencer and event activity across markets & regions
  • Work closely with Dyson’s creative, content, PR and commercial teams to ensure that content is leveraged in order to elevate and grow Dyson’s owned channels
  • Analyse and assess global campaign performance to provide valuable insights and opportunities
  • Remain on the pulse of influencer content trends to ensure creative, maximum exposure
  • Manage and deliver monthly and quarterly influencer reporting & processes to create actionable insights for future product launches and social media programs; integrate social data into broader digital marketing reports to ensure data-driven content decisions.
  • Work closely with SEO leads to ensure that influencer content is optimised.
  • Develop strong relationship with social and content team to understand how influencer strategies are unique and tailored by platform
  • Support Global Category PR Leads and market PR leads by developing events and media activations across both digital and physical – develop engaging. educational and socially shareable ways of bringing Dyson technology to life across all categories, for both new product and non-product campaigns.

About you

  • 5 + years’ experience in influencer marketing & communications – in-market or global
  • Cross-functional influencer campaign management – working with teams across paid, owned and earned
  • Multi-platform: Experience working across a range of social media channels with competency in digital marketing and social media
  • Project management skills: including experience of working across complex multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Strong presentation and executional skills
  • Proven ability to develop legal contracts for partners and influencers
  • Experience working with influencer and content management tools
  • Confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Understands influencer search tools and platforms to assess the effectiveness of an influencer
