About us

Dyson’s multidisciplinary Energy Storage development team is responsible for delivering cells from early prototypes in the UK, through to volume manufacture in a Singapore plant.

The cells that the team deliver will push the boundaries of performance, power density, and efficiency. These cells will drive new high value Dyson products with step improvements over our competitors.

In conjunction to developing a cell, the team will be responsible for process development, equipment realisation and facility set up jointly with our manufacturing and operational teams.

About the role

The Integration Project Manager will work in close collaboration with the Energy Storage cell development team, suppliers, manufacturing and Group Estates team to integrate pioneering technology for Dyson’s first-generation cell facility setup. A key challenge is to ensure that the destination product and cell technologies are highly integrated and optimised in the new facility. The role will gel embodiment of cell and manufacturing expertise across the organisation in order to realise pilot and volume manufacture on ambitious timelines.

Further to this, the incumbent plays a pivotal role in integrating the technology and facility by managing numerous and often conflicting directional inputs from several sources. It is the responsibility of the role to evaluate these, along with the Energy Storage development, Estates, Manufacturing, Operational teams and internal supporting team, and ultimately the inputs of the GEO leadership team, to deliver a cell technology which will enable the most successful range of Dyson products.

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, key responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for the Integration between the cell pilot equipment, the construction of the “advanced technology” manufacturing facilities, working closely with teams of internal supporting functions (manufacturing and operational) and external Project Managers, taking responsibility for the integration service delivery of the assigned set up facility projects.

  • To act as the key, day-to-day Dyson internal stakeholder interface with the appointed external Construction team, Estates, Manufacturing, Suppliers and RDD, by ensuring that Dyson business objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate technology specification.

  • Establish, maintain, communicate and execute the integration plan between the facility set up and the cell development of the technology.

  • Provide insight to the Dyson senior leadership to make well informed strategic decisions, through the timely communication of the relative technical and commercial progress of the integration project.

  • Ensure the integration timeline is aligned with the equipment and facilities timelines.


  • Responsible for the integration delivery plan for the Facility set up that is highly optimised for volume manufacture, delivering world class Safety, specification and quality.

  • Early identification and mitigation of cost, time, and specification risks through use of registers and project communications.

  • Define and deliver to plans that are highly integrated and aligned with those of the destination product and Estates teams.

  • Provides leadership and direction to deliver the integration plan through Senior Managers and managers.


  • An articulate integration Project Management leader with the ability to balance commercial objectives against project compliance requirements.  

  • Lead the project team to set up, mobilise and deliver the integration project.

  • Demonstration of construction project management will be essential.

  • Good knowledge of performance management of contracts.

  • Ability to work in an agile manner with other stakeholders in a dispersed multi-disciplined environment.

  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, with an ability to develop, communicate and gain ownership for a clear vision and direction.

  • Robust under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines.

  • Contributes to teamwork and a willingness to work in a spirit of partnership.

  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills. Ability to convey complex issues concisely and accurately.

  • Degree in engineering or related disciplines.

  • Formal project management training/ qualifications/certification is a requirement.


  • Minimum of 5 years project management in a similar engineering field demonstrating good knowledge of the complete project life cycle.
