The GB&I Internal Communications Manager will be based in the London press office with regular travel to the Malmesbury headquarters.  

About the Role

  • Work with GB&I Senior Communications manager and support on weekly/monthly/quarterly market townhalls, livestreams, newsletter updates and general internal comms emails for the GB&I market.  

  • Collaborate with the network of Dyson EMEA internal comms specialists, share best practice and champion engagement in GB&I to the wider EMEA team 

  • Support the GB&I Communications team with administrative duties where necessary  

 

Leadership Comms:

  • Alongside the Senior Comms Manager, attend monthly meetings with Managing Director & Head of HR to present a market IC update and strategy 

  • Organise quarterly EMEA Town Halls, creating script, video content, gathering content, managing Teams Live and carrying out preparation sessions and rehearsals 

  • Coordinate, edit, approve and send the GB&I monthly newsletter via Poppulo.  

  • Partner with HR for careers focused comms via newsletters or quarterly regional recognition communications  (GB&I STAR awards). 

 

EMEA Comms:

  • Attend bi-weekly calls Group Internal Comms and other regional IC leads to understand the global direction, provide insights from GB&I and share best practice 

  • Alongside the GB&I Senior Manager, attend 1:1s quarterly with each EMEA IC market lead to review strategy, support on budget creation and audit activity in their market 

  • Collaborate with EMEA-wide in regional internal launches; competitions, events, engineer talks, activities with CPM 

  • Produce EMEA assets including engagement videos, wrap-up videos, regional campaign assets, regional update talking points and slides 

GB&I Comms:

  • Create and deliver regional internal launch strategies and share best practice 

  • Collaborate with different stakeholders for all EMEA/Global topical newsletters Poppulo (frequency can range from monthly to bi-monthly) 

  • Localise Group Internal/Group Product campaigns to be relevant and successful in GB&I markets, e.g. Pets of Dyson competition, Odours campaign, Challenge Dyson, etc. 

  • Suggest and implement new channels, systems or media that can keep remote and in-office engagement safe but relevant. Spotlight best practice in markets and collate and share ideas 

 

 

About You

  • Minimum 4 years experience in an Internal communications role  

  • Ability to build and effect change - at both a people and process level 

  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in building relationships with senior leadership, and in-market teams 

  • Strong experience in live streams, newsletters, video production and events management 

  • Evidence of experience in managing a comprehensive communications program to advance an organization’s mission and goals  

  • Superior self management skills; ability to influence and engage people up, down, and across the organization in order to bring about change.
