About the role

  • The role of Inside Sales Team Leader is an important one for Dyson Professional GB&I and all stakeholders in the business who rely on the business development teams to achieve their financial targets.
  • Working within a highly competitive B2B environment, you will lead a Team consisting of Inside Sales and Aftersales and Care Executives to prepare and execute strategic, targeted activity, to generate new opportunities and business for the Dyson Professional (b2b) channel. This will involve fielding inbound leads, undertaking outbound prospecting activity and supporting our Field Business Development teams.
  • Lead, drive and coach the Inside Sales Team on;
  • Company research identifying key players and Decision Makers using existing CRM, LinkedIn and/or online search engines
  • Researching business trends and initiatives to understand where Dyson will support their business visions
  • Preparation of robust monthly outbound Call Plans dedicating specific time to the areas that need your dedication and focus
  • Completion of a prospecting Pass System proven to generate more success than sporadic contact attempts
  • Regular reviews with ‘POD’ (cross-functional Team) members to assess the success criteria from activity to stop/start/continue in line with results
  • Work with the commercial marketing team to refine lead generation as required
  • Being KPI driven with a minimum expectation of delivery against each one
  • Achieve stretching pipeline generation, sales revenue, profit contribution and conversion targets
  • Develop and grow your own and the Team pipeline of opportunities within key business verticals
  • Regular coaching reviews with your Line reports in respect of quality of communications and engagement (in line with the agreed activity in POD)
  • Being the go-to person in your POD for admin tasks relating to order generation and processing, servicing requirements and support
  • Being accountable for your own performance and highlighting where you need support as soon as you need it
     

About You

  • At least three years of Sales team leadership experience
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment
  • Experience in operations, sales order processing & logistics
  • Excellent lead generation skills
  • Results driven
  • A Leader, mentor and collaborator
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) and LinkedIn
  • A strong relationship builder, effective communicator and negotiator, highly analytical, able to overcome objections, a confident presenter, target-driven, articulate, and passionate
  • Autonomous, able to plan, lots of self-discipline, and the ability to recognise when something isn’t working well
