About the Role

As the Junior Performance Media Manager, you will be responsible building plans to acquire and retain customers on our dot.com website. Your primary KPI is paid media traffic and revenue from traffic at efficient CPA. This makes up 1/3 of the eCom equation and in partnership with your manager and broader media team you’ll own making and delivering plans against these numbers. This role requires a balance of short, medium and long term planning, and close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, particularly marketing to ensure that plans are part of the full funnel. You will need to be able to balance on daily, weekly and monthly basis the need to make search optimisations and improvements to hit our KPIs while reporting back to the business and identifying short, medium and long term opportunities.

At Dyson we plan our media and activities using the ‘see, think, do’ funnel. This role looks after the do side of media focused on getting the customer to do something, buy a/ another Dyson product on Dyson.nl or Dyson.be. As a member of the Dyson Direct Benelux Team, you will report into the E-Commerce Manager and work closely together with our colleagues in group, the broader retail team, marketing teams, finance and supply chain.

Accountabilities

  • Set and Manage Traffic Strategy and Plan for Dyson.nl and Dyson.be: You are accountable for setting the direction of and managing the implementation of plans to maximise profitable traffic to Dyson.nl and Dyson.be.

  • Paid Search Performance; You will own, track, report and enhance the paid search. You’ll need to be able to evaluate, monitor and work with our agency to adjust search across tools and campaign strategies- shopping, generics, brands which ensuring we are maximising incremental sales at an efficient CPA.

  • ‘Do’ Social and Display; You will be the owner for ‘do’ lower funnel display and search plans ensuring we have right activity in place behind key campaigns and reasons to shop direct.

  • Coaching and People Development: This role currently has 1 direct report, you will build their capability and manage their priorities and performance in line with achieving paid traffic priorities

  • Ad Copy: You will work with our agency partners ensuring we have excellent copy which drives efficient clicks and traffic, this will mean writing, testing and evaluating copy.

  • Affiliates Management: You will establishing an affiliates strategy. Looking at the full array of affiliates options available, you will work with our local affiliates partner to make sure we are maximising the value we get from this relationship

  • Budget Management; You will own PO creation process and tracking of spend, ensuring we are spending do budget in line with CPA targets and overall spend commitments.

  • SEO: You are accountable for ensuring we are boosting the share of revenue that comes through SEO. You will work with group and eCom content and merchandising team on implementing best practice.

  • Looking for new ways to grow: You will work closely with stakeholders, looking for new ways to grow traffic, these can be i) being local project owner for group led solutions ii) identifying bespoke market opportunities.

  • Agency Management: You will be day to day contact for our agency partners ensuring they are performing in line with expectations and have what they need to deliver.

  • DRP and DRTV Campaign Management: Working with marketing you will be the direct owner for direct response media including print and TV.

  • Play a Central Role within E-Com and Direct Business: The eCom business is an agile and fast moving team with shifting priorities and responsibilities as we grow quickly. The above is a list of primary responsibilities but they’ll be others expected of a team member as we flow to the biggest issues and priorities.

  • Keep Abreast of Latest Digital media trends; Be the voice of latest market developments that help drive our traffic, observing and reporting back on best practice across group, our peer companies and competitors.

About you

  • Strong digital knowledge including hands on experience in using tools such as Google analytics, Google Ads, SA 360.

  • Strong commercial acumen, comfortable doing analysis drawing information from multiple sources.

  • 2-3 years hands on paid search/digital experience in optimising, budget management and reporting.

  • Experience managing agency or 3rd party partners.

  • Project management skills- able to break down a goal into manageable tasks and work efficiently to deadline

  • Prioritisation and Complexity; you’ll be comfortable to make priority calls, understand what needs to be done 80/20 and what needs to be done first. You’ll be comfortable working in fast agile environment and dealing with ambiguity.

  • Collaborative: You’re Comfortable collaborating will colleagues across countries, cultures and levels of seniority

  • Owner first Mind-set: You’ll Understand and think first and foremost what these plans and actions do for our owner.

  • Fluent in English and either Dutch or French, both would be beneficial.
