About the role

Dyson is a rapidly growing global company that is constantly evolving into new markets and new product categories. As the company grows it is important that we continue evolving our processes and tools to support the design challenges of our rapidly diversifying product ranges.

To facilitate this growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced tools & process engineer with an electronics background, to support ongoing development of the company’s methodology for Electronics Design and Verification.

  • Developing and implementing improved ECAD tool workflows and methods.
  • Working in collaboration with IT to maintain and automate our tools and process flows.  
  • Working in collaboration with the Software and Mechanical design disciplines to integrate the Electronics processes into the Dyson product development framework.
  • Innovating process ideas to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce time to market.
  • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.
  • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.

About you

  • Experience working with and developing ECAD tools in a production environment.
  • A strong knowledge of engineering processes for electronic product design.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant electronics discipline.
  • Experience as a tools and process engineer, ideally working in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of the design of electronics for high-volume production.
  • Familiar with electronics development tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Linux-based tools and processes.
