About the role
Key CFT member in the development of in-house separator production process.
Challenge and improve technical aspects of the project.
Governing & specifying the mechanical outline specification of separator parts.
Contribute to product’s overall tolerance analysis by governing the part’s tolerance analysis.
Conduct process development trials involving chemicals with process engineers.
Commissioning and maintaining prototype equipment.
Commissioning of pilot equipment with manufacturing engineers.
Development part testing method and standard from mechanical perspective.
Document trial history, consolidate & summarize and analyse test data.
Discussion with machine vendor in meeting product specification and requirement.
Raise Purchase request if required.
Qualifications & skills:
Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or related principles.
Min. 5 year of working experience in Development environment.
Experience working in manufacturing industry.
Strong capability in technical data analysis.
Experienced with CAD and GD&T.
Experienced with lab work safety and environmental requirement.
Hands-on skills for lab equipment and chemicals handling.
Knowledge of and familiarity with chemical preparation and mixing processes and equipment.
Strong process-based thinking/ Six-sigma continual improvement mindset is desirable.
Knowledge in sheet/ film extrusion is a plus.
Knowledge in web handling process is a plus.
Knowledge in extrusion process is a plus.
Knowledge in lithium-ion cell is a plus.
Self-motivated to meet objectives; must be willing and comfortable to work in a start-up environment. Ability to work both alone and in teams as required.
Able to work in cleanroom environment, wearing jumpsuits, and safety shoes
Strong sense of safety in chemical related working environment.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills exemplified by the ability to diagnose and rectify problem.
Good written and verbal communication.
