About the role


The Finance Analyst partners with the Business, in particular the sales teams in both the Indirect and Direct channels to ensure that the sales activities deliver value for the company. In addition, he/she ensures excellence in accounting and business operations around the co-advertisement budget, which is very critical given its size and significance. He/she will be also owning the sales targets, making sure that the sales team gets frequent and accurate updates on the status. 


This role will act as a key Business Partner to ensure accurate forecast and capture of customer terms in systems and configures the rebate management module with results from ad hoc business partnerships and customer business reviews to ensure the accuracy of the monthly GM analysis.  The role will be required to provide an accurate monthly sales forecast, ensures that customer credit risks are taken into account, work with the rest of the Finance team and the S&OP team to provide an accurate month-end profit forecast. 





Business Partnering with Sales (Indirect and Direct) 

  • This role will be responsible for ensuring that accounting and planning systems are working on the basis of the latest agreements and plans.  This includes (but is not limited to): 

  • Pricing 

  • Retailer/Customer agreements 

  • Promotional activities 

  • Credit Limit management 

  • Working Capital management 

  • Assists the finance team in project execution to develop new skills in analytical insight, efficiency and control. 

  • Collaboration in the planning and budgeting process 

  • Analysis of product categories to influence the volume, price and impact of plans, in particular in assessing Return on Investment (ROI) on executed acitivities 

  • Performance analysis at product level, identifying growth opportunities and associated collaboration with demand planning  

  • Close cooperation with S&OP, PR, Demand Planning & Group Finance and other areas of the business 

  • Interface to the business controller with focus on sales controlling and the entire company, as well as its support and representation 

  • Work together with the KAMs on the promo planning and gap closing activities 


Fully own the Co-Advertisement Budget 

  • Ensure transparency on the Co-Advertising budget across all stakeholders including senior leadership. 

  • Provide quality input to the other members of the team on Co-Advertising so that the right accruals can be built at month end and right budgets are provided for in the financial forecast. 

  • Ensure that the deductions relating to Co-Advertising do not exceed the target (in terms of total amount and ageing)  

  • Act as a bridge between accounting (FCoE/ Accenture) and the local sales team to make sure all claims are processed on time. Ensure that the disputed claims are clarified within 4 weeks with the customer. 


Sales Targets 

  • Regularly issue updates on status vs sales targets at account and door level are communicated to the sales team 

About you


  • Min 2 years experience of working in a high performing organization. 

  • Evidence of budget control and can demonstrate financial expertise 

  • Working knowledge of the retail industry, either with an electrical manufacturer or other 

  • SAP Experience preferred 


  • Strong team player 

  • Excellent excel skills 

  • Good understanding of SAP FI Module 

  • Good understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L  

  • Methodical business planning capability 

  • Good communication skills -  both verbal and written

  • Fluent in English, plus fluent German skills are preferred   

  • Understanding of the Swiss trade landscape
