About the role
The EMEA Market legal team is responsible for the provision of legal services within the EMEA region.
As a key part of this collaborative and expert team and reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel Contracts, you’ll be responsible for providing commercial contract support, general consumer law advice and general competition law advice across the EMEA region.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing contract support (supplier, reseller, distributor, property etc.) across the EMEA region, ensuring that contracts meet terms in accordance with the guard rails implemented, or appropriate approvals have been obtained.
Providing general competition law support to the business.
Supporting the EMEA business with general legal queries.
Supporting the team with managing external counsel services and payment of invoices.
Delivering training to the business and EMEA legal team.
Business partnering at least one market within the region.
Ensuring all EMEA templates are kept up to date.
You’ll be based at our brand new, state-of-the-art EMEA Head Office in Amsterdam. The role is 100% office based and there will be minimal requirements to travel as part of your remit.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, minimum 2 years’ PQE in the UK or an EU jurisdiction, fluent in English and be comfortable advising stakeholders and drafting legal documents in English.
You’ll be able to identify and analyse complex legal issues and confidently challenge clients to understand their goals and rationale for the contracts. You’ll also demonstrate in-depth understanding and awareness of risk and compliance which will enable you to identify and propose appropriate mitigation options for these risks.
