Joining our European Logistics & Supply Chain team in this new role you will support the global launch of a new product category for Dyson, becoming the subject matter expert (SME) for all logistics matters and the go-to person for supply chain and logistics activity for the export shipments of this category globally.
About the role
Based in our Malmesbury office within the GB & EMEA team you will have an independent role working closely with the business as well as managing individual requirements. You will deliver operational excellence and compliance for ad-hoc global shipments and imports/exports for cross functional teams (e.g. samples, equipment, marketing materials etc) along with resolving supply chain issues related to imports, exports and operational customs matters.
Remaining up to date with global regulations and compliance for all types of goods movements, particularly dangerous goods, you will be the go-to SME for planned and ad-hoc import/export shipments globally. You will also:
Create, implement, and continuously update processes
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including 3PL/4PL to execute operations
Be responsible for the global distribution of new products from the UK, as required
Create and implement reporting and KPIs
About you
You will have a background in supply chain and logistics with a proven ability to proactively problem solve and deliver solutions. You will be excited about the prospect of developing your career within a large global organisation with multiple career pathways. You will ideally have:
A good understanding of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles, with around 5+ years experience
Proven experience in UK to European & Global imports/exports of goods (ideally within the electronics sector)
Good Excel skills, along with SAP knowledge or similar
Strong organisational & training skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
The ability to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
A high attention to detail and analytical approach
A business and results oriented approach
The drive to be self-motivated and independent
