About us

Dyson Global Logistics is looking for an extraordinary Logistics Performance Manager to join our team as a strategic contributor in Global Logistics. The Logistics Performance Manager is a key role in the global logistics organisation managing and analysis all performance and cost metrics across multiple service providers and internal operations to standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, evaluation, reporting and management of performance and cost standards. He / She will work collaboratively with functional owners to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Leverages best-practice, and deploys governance, standards & processes that align to the business strategy.
  • Benchmarks internal processes, and develops future capabilities, processes and systems.
  • Identifies gaps in processes and systems to determine their root cause, and applies innovative approaches to streamline process, eliminating or modifying non-value activities.
  • Works’ cross-functionally and throughout regions/markets ensuring speed and synchronization of standardized practices and processes.
  • Provides ideas to drive efficiency and effectiveness, improving quality while optimizing cost to serve.
  • Champions the use of new processes, technology and standardization.
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Manages a strong application of performance and cost to serve program.
  • Effectively and efficiently uses structured program management / implementation methods to successfully introduce new practices, processes or products with a strong focus on benefits management.

Deliverables of the Role

  • Lead and drive a performance management cadence that reviews performance and cost levels both internally and externally.
  • Develop a gap analysis approach, presenting root cause failures and identifying improvement opportunities hindering service and cost excellence.
  • Lead and develop robust measurements and reporting methods that aims to constantly improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy, and reduces cost-to-serve.
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and functional owners to development budgeted solutions and analysis of operations and new initiatives, supporting business case development with financial and performance data, and manages actualised cost reporting to budget.
  • Drive E2E Logistics sustainability practices and reporting.
  • Provide support in the development and management of strategic initiative delivery.
  • Support in the preparation and coordination of critical business insights and inputs required.
  • Monitors global standard KPIs that measure and track logistics performance, working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Captures, measures and reports on the service delivery, data quality and financial performance achieved by each global 3PL provider.

About you

Skills and Knowledge Required for the Role

  • Knowledge and experience of logistics activities (including safety, security and import /
  • export compliance law).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to evaluate complex
  • logistics solutions and articulate these in an understandable way.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain, with a clarity for understanding the
  • importance and interdependencies associated with each stage of the process — Plan,
  • Source, Make, Deliver.
  • Excellent ability to analyse and report complex suit of datasets to provide meaningful
  • business insights, effectively manage root cause resolution and clearly articulate
  • improvement opportunities.


Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Supply chain degree is desirable.
  • 5+ years' operational logistics experience in relevant industries.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to travel at short notice.
