About the Role
Support the Major Projects Lead to provide assurance to regional business stakeholders relating to Capital Investment Plan (CIP) performance and enable effective decision making through appropriate reports and controls.
Support the Global Project Coordinator to provide auditable assurance to global executives relating to capital plan performance and enable effective decision making through appropriate reports and controls.
Support the Major Projects Lead to oversee and govern the execution and delivery of the annual Capital Investment Plan across all Major Projects and Programmes. Providing auditable assurance of alignment of Capital Plans to Dyson strategy and objectives.
Use centrally developed project controls required to forecast and manage business and regional programme level risks and issues and commercial assurance and oversight during the capital planning process, business case and funding approvals process and during delivery and transition to operate.
Support the Major Projects Lead to maintain global governance and assurance frameworks aligned to the global standard operating procedures and policies.
Measures of Performance
Maintain single source data management and reporting capability enabling efficient and accurate decision making across the programme.
Driving consistency in process relating to planning and management of the Capital Planning process and delivery of programmes and projects across the programme.
Provide data driven insights to realise health and safety, risk and value improvements and capital efficiency targets, including value for money and commercial benefits year on year across the programme.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (but not limited to):
Support the Global Project Coordinator to maintain a consistent and efficient suite of projects controls across the programme.
Support the Global Project Coordinator to maintain data management systems and technology platforms to enable efficient and effective planning, management and reporting of the capital programme.
Support the business to prioritise propositions and programmes of work.
Support continuous improvement of project and programme performance through a framework of data driven insights captured across the programme team and supply chain.
Support the establishment of improvements to programme team structure, resource mix and internal capabilities as required to realise capital programme targets.
Provide accurate reports to Regional Business Stakeholders to enable decision making and mitigate under performance and risk.
Align delivery approaches across programme project teams, consultants and supply chain using the centrally developed capital management and project delivery frameworks.
Support the Major Projects Lead to identify and manage key programme stakeholders by consistently informing them of any issues and risks that may impact the delivery of an individual project and therefore the programme.
Identify and manage programme risks and issues across the programme identifying mitigation strategies to minimise cost
Capacity Planning - Monitor regional programme team capacity across the end-to-end programme lifecycle to avoid peaks in delivery.
Relevant project controls experience of comparable scale and complexity.
Relevant experience coordinating dispersed programme complex projects and programmes of comparable scale and complexity.
Demonstrable success in leading project teams of comparable scale and complexity.
Relevant experience (5+ years) working in PMOs/Project Controls roles.
Professional qualification to demonstrate suitability for role.
Certified Lean Practitioner desired but not essential.
Demonstrated success of working within project teams in the planning, development and execution of a pipeline of capital works within a live operational environment.
Experience of working within project teams to achieve the planned benefits and business objectives.
Experience in successfully collaborating with multiple stakeholders both internally in a matrix structure as well as externally.
