Based in the Philippines, responsible for the Project Management delivery of a range of assigned Major Projects, spanning offices, labs and manufacturing facilities, leading teams of External Consultants, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery of assigned projects.
To act as the key, day-to-day Dyson internal stakeholder interface with the appointed external team (External Project Managers, Cost Managers, Designers, Suppliers and Contractors etc), ensuring that Dyson business objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
Measures of Performance
Projects are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently, on time and to budget, with the highest regard for health & safety.
Project delivery meets the business objectives.
Strong relationships are developed with stakeholders and members of the cross-functional team. General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (but not limited to):
Dyson stakeholder main point of contact, which will include Dyson Business Executives and / or Dyson Manufacturing Operations, Estates Leadership Team, other Centre of Excellence (IT, Security, Procurement Finance and Legal etc), together with contacts with Project and Cost Managers, Designers, Contractors, End users/operators, Developers etc.
Project teams – Manage external Project Managers to deliver safely, to program, to budget and to defined quality, design and performance targets.
Adoption and governance of the Capital Projects Commercial Management Process.
Establishment, implementation and management of benchmarking, risk management, management of contingency, cost savings, change control, procurement board approvals and commercial performance reporting.
Adoption and governance of Dyson procurement and vendor management processes and procedures.
Cost Management -
Provide accurate commercial performance reporting
Manage commercial teams to deliver projects within budget limits
Manage teams to achieve business objectives
Drive the application of Modern Methods of Construction and Digital Construction toolsets.
Ensure that the projects meet Dyson’s Sustainability and Zero Carbon agendas.
Pursuit of Social Value in the community through the delivery of the projects.
Audit & Governance – Manage team to give quality assurance and governance to reporting and operational compliance.
Project Management and Controls – Adopt and implement Capital Project’s Project Management tools to provide visibility and reporting of time, cost, quality, WHS etc.
Project Administration – Produce and maintain the Project Execution Plan and manage delivery of the EHS Management Plan, Design Management Plan, Quality Plan, Sustainability Plan and Capital Project Delivery Manual.
Document Control – Ensure document control is managed in accordance with Dyson Capital Projects processes and key documents uploaded to the Dyson SharePoint in accordance with the standard filing structure.
