About the role

The role will be a key position to manage overall end to end forecast planning, replenishment and allocation for direct retail and E-commerce business.

  • Work with Retail and E-commerce team to achieve business target, facilitate the monthly integrated business planning meeting.
  • Engage the IBP cycle with local market, understand the business strategy and work together on the commercial plan with sales team including the baseline forecast, promotion event, seasonality, etc. to develop the rolling 18months demand forecast for assigned direct retail channel and e-commerce channel
  • Assure the consistency of the sales forecast, in volume and in value, with the business plan taking into consideration all the marketing and sales promotion activities, sale out trend etc.
  • Lead activities on demand planning according to the objectives of product availability and stock target defined.
  • Develop/implement effective demand & supply consensus process to ensure stock availability as a key competitive advantage and enabler for KPI delivery
  • Manage the product portfolio with commercial team based on business analysis, assess relevant service model, safety stock setting, etc.
  • Manage a smooth Product Life Cycle (PLC) process, including NPIs, Phase-in/phase-out and EOL management based on market strategy.
  • Continuous improvement to manage the supply risk and lead with cross function like region planning team, commercial team to identify the action plan for mitigating the supply gap and fulfilment of business needs.

Key Responsibilites

The Demand Planning Manager is a key position within the team and responsible for 1) running S&OP/DRM process in market side focusing on forecast and demand management process, 2) doing important role to innovate & maintain effective business planning process with multi-functions.

The role reports to Head of Trade marketing and planning in Korea and works cross functionally with internal Dyson teams (Marketing, Finance and Operations) and Global Demand Planning Group outside Korea. The Demand Planning Manager is accountable for demand management, stock availability and forecast accuracy and ultimately contribute business growth and share growth in Korea.

Demand Planning

  • Define/lead effective market S&OP (Sales and Operation Planning) and DRM (Demand Review Meeting) process with Leadership Team and multi-functions focusing on demand consensus and responsive decision making in market side.
  • Drive demand/business building blocks discussions and flag any gap versus Target.
  • Improve/lead forecast related processes/standards/capabilities that sustain high demand forecast accuracy and reasonability to enable sale & share growths with assets/capacity optimization.
  • Drive decision making on-time based on analysis on demand assumptions, business plans and external data with expertise, and communicate root causes and conclusions with relation functions to develop proper business plan.
  • Communicate business risks and opportunities proactively with Leadership Team and related functions to drive corrective plan and actions.
  • Manage/communicate demand forecast, implication and potentials effectively with Korea Management team and regional demand planning group to ensure right production and supply.
  • Monitor supply status with market supply chain team within a defined horizon to ensure smooth and effective business operations.
  • Guide system related execution for both Finished Goods and Spare parts weekly/monthly basis, and be consultant to a key user who will resolve SAP related system issues.
  • Define/deliver demand related KPI & target (forecast accuracy, MAPE, etc).
  • Enabling inventory target together with SCM team to optimize & protect company asset.
  • Communicate/translate demand forecast (market S&OP) to production plan & execution effectively by working closely with regional supply planning group.
  • Develop/implement effective demand & supply consensus process to ensure stock availability and case fill rate as a key competitive advantage and enabler for KPI delivery.
  • Establish/lead escalation and risk management process with multi-functions.
  • Establish/Lead initiative readiness & planning processes.
  • Build, align, own & upload the unbiased & unconstraint volume sell-in forecast at SKU/Category/weekly level in partnership with Market strategy and the rest of the multi-functional team for the rolling 18 months.
  • Ensure same volume forecast is used as a base and work together with Finance on the Standard Selling Price forecast.
  • Co-lead the budget process with Marketing and Finance team.

About you

Skills

  • Excellent analytical capabilities, logical & strategical thinking, effective communication skill including English proficiency.
  • Knowledge and experience on 1) demand forecasting and planning processes and 2) End to End supply planning & processes.
  • Deep knowledge on Business, Supply Chain and be fluent in Finance language
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP or ERP system.
  • Knowledge on MS office and other relevant software for forecasting & supply process.

Experiences

  • Track record on multi-cultural dynamic environments where he or she played a major role on implementing changes.
  • Strong leadership and responsivity, follow-through, results driven attitude.
  • Experience of running S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process with Multi-functions and Managements.
  • Hands-on, down to earth profile & experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience & knowledge on overall supply chain in manufacturer POV and customer (retailer’s) supply chain.
  • Preferred to have minimum 8 years to 12 years’ experience in Demand/Supply planning.
  • Experience on Retail planning, store allocation and E-commerce planning knowledge will be a plus.
  • People management skill & experience.
