Description

This role will assist the Media and Category Marketing teams to ensure accuracy of marketing billing execution. This position requires excellent communication skills, team work, service orientation, high degree of accuracy and organization combined with high proficiency in multitasking and keeping to tight billing and month end timelines.

Accountabilities

Create and manage all marketing POs
  • Partner with finance and other marketing individuals to ensure timely completion of purchase orders and invoices
  • Ensure that detailed justifications and KPIs are included for all marketing spend 
  • Ensure all appropriate approvers are alerted and have approved in a timely manner
  • Analyze trends when completing the Good Receipts process of invoices
  • Ensure open POs are reconciled and closed in a timely manner

Ensure accurate billing from Dyson’s 3rd party marketing providers
  • Audit billing to ensure compliance with contractual rates for services rendered by Dyson’s third party partners
  • Analyse and validate accuracy of charges based on marketing movements Dyson’s SAP system  
  • Audit marketing charges for validity and reasonableness

Raise disputes for any billing discrepancies
  • Compile necessary documentation to dispute any billing discrepancy with 3rd party marketing providers
  • Present documentation and work with 3rd party marketing provider to resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Monitor and track future billing for adjustments based on discrepancy resolution 

Log invoice detail and assign cost center
  • Log invoice detail and assign appropriate cost center
  • Input invoice detail into Dyson SAP system for payment by Accounts Payable

Prepare month end billing accrual
  • Compile accrual of open invoices to ensure billing is booked in the month the service occurred
  • Reconcile open billing to balance with 3rd party marketing provider’s open balance
  • Review accruals with Accounts Payable to ensure charges are posted to the correct period and cost centers

Fulfil other duties as necessary
  • Compile monthly marketing activity analyses to budgeted rates and recap to management
  • Prepare back-up documentation for yearly marketing budgeting
  • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
  • Think outside of the box, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Identify problems and find solutions

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years’ experience in the accounting or finance field required 
  • Demonstrates understanding of marketing activities
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent and critical thinking 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptable/flexible – able to multi task
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy – tireless in getting the right result
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good problem solving skills
