Our technology portfolio covers consumer products in Floorcare, Environmental Control, Personal Care and Lighting. Over the last decade, Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia. At the heart of the Asia expansion is the intent to build a strong team for our Hong Kong & Taiwan business. We are looking to accelerate through disruptive technology, unique products, and perfectly executed consumer centric experience led by creative marketing campaigns.

About the role1.Marketing strategies vision and building •Observing market trends and translating consumer insights into long-term strategy to drive growth of Dyson across the business •Lead the local marketing agenda at a global level, building strong partnerships with global and regional leadership to ensure support and alignment on key business needs. •Deliver excellence of execution alongside ownership of marketing investment with strong commercial governance. •Manage media external agencies, creating clear joint business plans that deliver key outcomes including spend efficiencies. Be responsible for external agency relationships and contractual agreements. 2. Brand Strategy and Category Management •Develop and drive initiatives and campaigns designed to deliver overall business and category objectives. •Drive innovation and transformation in how Dyson reaches consumers through media, content and experience. •Own and approve all categories campaigns. Track and review performance, implementing a test, learn and optimise approach. •Assess the business performance of each category and work with sales leadership to develop joint strategies for these categories. •Work cross functionally with relevant business stakeholders such as sales, ecommerce, PR, Legal, finance to deliver on opportunities.
3. Bringing Dyson brand & technology to life and to the world through point of sale, retail marketing activities.•Take ownership of the shopper journey and experience, defining key strategic levers that drive premium and unique experiences to Dyson consumers through retail. •Overlay category specific needs with channel strategy, drive initiatives that could uplift sales performance as well as demo innovation in technology brand experience. •Be a brand champion to Dyson global retail team, & within the HK/TW team.
4. Development and implementation of communication strategy and programme•Author overall brand communications strategy for Dyson HKTW, taking into account our full categories proposition and voice what makes Dyson different to our competitors. Plan how this cascades across each category to show clear product differentiation and superiority. •Work with PR/Communication team to leverage and engage with local government and standard body in category standard development process. •Lead category heads to develop communications plans that cross different media, from TV, press, online down to packaging and price. •
5. Build, develop and promote an effective team with Dyson Culture and DNA•Inspire, lead and motivate the Marketing function across category, media and retail. •Design, build and strengthen the marketing team to become future fit. •Develop and upskill the team – on the jobs and through regular feedback, 1:1’s, agreed objectives •Manage talent and succession plans. •Support and coach the team to ensure that they can communicate effectively throughout the organisation both locally and at Group level. •Develop relationships with critical channel partners to effectively implement Dyson’s vision in the market
About you•Integrated, authentic and trustworthy •Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and resistant to stress •A very strong and polished communicator and storyteller •Effective influencing skills and at the highest level. Exceptional communicator displaying exemplary written and verbal skills •Strong cross-functional leadership skills, including experience managing complex projects and integrating new initiatives across an organization •Proactive and assertive in problem solving and recognizing/taking action on opportunities •Strong leadership and proven experience in building high performance teams •See Ambiguity as opportunity •Excellent organizational and planning skills •Proven English language proficiency both in written and oral. In addition proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is preferable. •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred.
