About the role

In the last 5 years, nearly 400 graduates joined the company. They have all received big responsibilities from day 1, and they had real positive impact on our business. Thriving in multiple business areas, you’ll find our graduates have developed their careers across all areas, from e-Commerce, to Retail, from Media to Product Marketing.  Even our Chief Commercial Officer started as a graduate. 

 

We’re constantly refining and redefining our global marketing strategies and campaigns to create customer and owner experiences that are authentic and uniquely Dyson. Our team make sure shoppers and owners understand why our machines are different and better. During your two-year graduate programme, you will develop fast and have the chance to closely interact with our Senior Management team, including James and Jake Dyson. 

 

Your first rotation will be within our digital team, starting with a Digital Bootcamp, where you’ll visit the best-in-class in the Digital sphere, such as Google, Meta, Adobe and our Media Partner. You will then work with teams across the globe, from Retail, to Media to Product Marketing. You will learn to analyse large amounts of data from digital sales and experiences to pull out key insights that will shape immediate and future marketing activations. From this experience you will gain practical skills in e-commerce and digital marketing, including certification in Google, Meta and Adobe platforms. 

 

Your second year will be focused on introducing Dyson’s innovative products to global consumers. This will include launching new products, building strategic go-to-market plans and working with our international commercial teams and media agencies.  You will be working on high profile live projects during your rotations, supporting us in delivering our business goals. You will be comfortable learning from others but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions and you can expect big responsibility and plenty of autonomy.  

 

By the end of your programme, you will have gained analytical thinking and leadership skills, empowering you to confidently generate a positive and tangible impact on our business. This will enable you to follow a specialist or people leadership career path which could take you into different markets or regions.

Our Graduate Programme

Our graduate programme is designed to help you drive your career at Dyson with a two-year journey to help you grow both personally and professionally. We’ll help you to improve your knowledge and support your future career progression with workshops to give you baseline soft skills in addition to technical training. Our unique experiential journey provides a framework so you can reach your full potential with leadership talks, lunch-and-learns and more. You may have the opportunity to rotate into a variety of teams to support your professional development.

Please note

  • This role is based in Malmesbury, UK and the start date is September 2023. 

  • The third and final stage of the recruitment process will involve an in-person Assessment Centre here at our Malmesbury campus in February 2023.

  • A cover letter is not required.

About you

Our graduate roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be: 

  • Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious plans. 

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.   

  • Curious and keen to understand everything around you - you don’t sit back waiting to be told what to do.    

  • Able to evidence how you have applied your knowledge to solve problems, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities. 

  • Working towards or have achieved a degree discipline in any business subject area demonstrating your commercial acumen and understanding of marketing.

  • To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience post-graduation (Phd students are not eligible for our graduate programmes).
